Depends on what state you are in.

Check out LaSalle Bank, and Comerica.

For the record, I worked for Bank of America and they are horrible to both their customers and employees.

In my opinion, COMMERCE BANK is the very best. They are open late, they have drive thru, free checking, free online banking, 24/7 800 number with live people, open Sunday and most holidays. I don't think they have enough ATM's, but if you use an ATM Commerce doesn't charge a fee... the ATM owner does. OH and they have free coin counting machines.

What bank do you use...I like Canada Trust, mainly for their hours. They do offer on-line banking where you can check your account balance/pay bills/do stop payments etc.

They do offer free chequing with certain packages, the one I have offer me unlimited cheque writing, (where as some banks you are only entitle to so much before they start to charge you), I don't pay for bank drafts and its pretty lenient. Check them out you might like their service.
