The obvious thing is to tell the doc, but how do I do it? I am worried that he may think I am weird for worrying about the little things so much. I worry so much that I can't eat, sleep, relax, and sometimes I even shake and cry. Also, if anyone can offer any tips to help me not worry so much, I'd like that. Thanks for your help.

You are having anxiety attacks...and it is much more common than you think...so don't be afraid to tell your doctor. It can be treated very easily, and it will turn your whole life around practically overnight. Just the stress of worrying about it; makes it worse for you...so don't suffer any longer than you have to. It is a mild chemical inbalance in the brain...and nothing you can control...so it is highly unlikely it will go away on its own.

If you stop what you are doing; take a big deep breath, and then exhale slowly...it will help to calm you. Do it several times...until you feel better.

ok. probably your biggest worry is, "what will people think of me? i must appear so weird to them!" there must be times when you wonder whether you are going insane.

it must have taken great courage for you to even MENTION your problem here. life is probably not too happy for you at this rate.

worry tends to feed on worry. in other words, the more you worry, the more the worry increases!

of course people tell you to calm and you wish you could tell them that it is easy to SAY calm down but near-impossible to DO it.

honey, if you have taken the risk of speaking of your problem here, surely you can take a slightly bigger "risk" and go to a counsellor about this.

you probably think that this is a SERIOUS problem and that only YOU have it. i just want you to know that what you are going through is not ABNORMAL meaning that a LOT of people have it.

and your problem does not make you "mad" or a candidate to be carried off in a straitjacket by the men in white coats!

if you mail me i can even give you a couple of exercises that might help you.

Please tell your doc. You have a common problem: anxiety. He can refer you to a good counselor who can teach you ways of anxiety management. He can also Rx drugs if needed to help you in times of extreme stress.
