Every time this happens give her a toy. It's not rewarding the behavior it's teaching her what she CAN chew on. Afterall, she is teething and needs to chew!

Say no (DON'T abuse her) and give her a proper chew toy.

The way we have always taught our pups not to bite is when they are in the midst of biting your hand, you roll the bottom or top lip over her sharp tooth and squeeze the mouth down. At the same time, say "NO NO BITE! Continue to do this. Then when they start to bite you leg, etc. continue to use the words, NO NO BITE, and they will learn. It also helps to give them a raw hide or something they are allowed to chew on, then praise them for that.

Good Luck, and keep the band-aids handy until you get this under control.

first off, say "no bite" when she bites you. Take your fingers away and hand her something she is allowed to gnaw on, like a chew toy or rawhide bone. NEVER hit her to discipline her, that will only confuse and frighten her. Also, you can put a little pressure on the gums at the very back of her mouth, where there aren't any teeth to get her to stop chewing when she already has your finger in her mouth. This pressure does not hurt but is uncomfortable so most dogs will stop chewing.

Lightly hit her on the nose and say no whenever she does it. That may help. Another thing I've learned is that if you just put something else in her mouth like a bone she will stop biting you. If neither work, put her in her cage whenever she doesn't listen to you.

I taught my pug not to bite by lightly flicking her in the nose and saying " no biting" everytime she nipped at me.
