I met a man on a dating website, we talked on the phone and deceided to meet for a coffee, we did, and it turned into a nice evening and we talked alot....I sent him an e-mail thanking him for the evening, and that night he called saying that he too, enjoyed the evening...we said we'd get together the next day, but it didn't happen, he did call to say he was sorry, and we went out the next evening ,,, took a walk on the beach and watched the sunset....He is a bit shy, and never made a move! when he dropped me home he said we'll do it again, we both said we enjoyed ourselves. I never heard from him again,,,he isn't returning my e-mails, or calls.!! I know he isn't married. you might say sure you think that...but I know he's not. the bottom line is I think its rude! If he wasn't attracted to me, why the second date? I don't think I said anything wrong...but the couriousity is getting the better of me? what do you think

I think he's just not that into you (to steal a book title). He might have just been excited to be dating and it took him two dates to realize you weren't the woman for him. Guys often (mistakenly) think that just vanishing is somehow better than being honest with us. I say move on. Or convince yourself he had an accident involving farm animals and has been rendered completely incapable of communicating with you even though you are the best woman in the world.

It's a numbers game, the online dating scene. You may have said something during that second outing that reminded him of some childhood trauma from years ago, or wore a scent that reminded him of the pain an ex caused him, who knows. The point is, it could be a million reasons and don't drive yourself crazy trying to figure out what is turning out to be his loss. I would suggest that if you do like a guy, take the risk and make some sort of move, gesture or comment that lets him know that you LIKE him. Stroke his ego or his leg, just let him know that you are interested, guys need so much assurance.

Maybe you guys have a lot in common but maybe he isn't feeling any sparks, even if he said he had a good time, maybe he was just saying it cuz it's what you want to hear. or maybe he isn't ready for something serious. who knows?
