I have owned numerous BMW's and Mercedes.
If you drive under 25K per year than one of these cars will last beyond 200K in most cases.(8 yrs)
If you drive more than 25K per year, than get the cheapest car (Kia Rio) with the longest warranty. Its all about cost per mile. Not your image.

I think Hondas are really reliable cars. I have actually never owned one but my brother had one for, uh.....it seemed like FOREVER!
