if you belive in God then you would understand that the enemy of God will use any trick to confuse you. so when bad things happen its not because of superstition. if you walk under a ladder you looking for something bad to happen to link the two..but look at all the bad things that happen before you walked under that ladder. i guess that was a precurse. understanding God protect us and also we have challenges in our live that we need to learn from.

If it doesn't have a negative impact on your life, then they, by definition, are harmless.

Superstitions are the types of things that you feel you must do some sort of act, or ritual or else something bad will happen. Isn't that a form of Obsessive Compulsive Behavior?
I think religion is the same thing. People feel they have to do a certain ritual or else something bad will happen.
Very similar.

Not generally. To skeptics all supernatural ideologies are a type of superstition. And, thus those "superstitious" people who, for example, help orphans are fine by me.
On an individual level a fixation on good/bad luck charms, omens, etc. can accompany some minor, and some not so minor, disorders.

All religions are superstitions, they have no basis in fact. All Religions cannot all correctly claim to be the final word of god. Thus they're all superstitions and yes, they harm many many people.

As long as a person doesn't let them corrupt their life or become too much of a part of everyday life than I feel that it is ok to believe in superstitions.

Superstition can be very damaging. It can control your life if you let it. If you have been raised with a lot of superstitious sayings, it is very hard not to think about them. Have faith in God and don't let the superstitious hogwash worry you. It is certainly not true.

Superstitions can help you from time to time. I think everybody has them. I think that whenever I touch something dirty, the germs will go into my poors and in my blood.

i think that superstitions are harmless.. that depends on your POV of a superstition... i have broken many mirrors,,, nothing.... black cats .. always..... then nothing.... salt over the shoulder... never... it depends on how highly u believe in them

Thoughts are actual things. If you believe in something it will happen.Superstitions are harmless but if you believe in them- you alone will bring them on.Good Luck!
