I am always having probs with too many fresh veggies in fridge..i.e. carrots, celery, lettuce. Can anyone give me hints on how to keep them fresh longer?

Buy a sub-zero refrigerator, they help fresh produce last at least 10 days longer, 1 had seen a head of lettuce in there for 6 weeks stay fresh. Other ways of helping your veg last longer is to clean it and place in a sealed plastic container produce wrapped in cheesecloth. Mushrooms stay best in a Tupperware no water. High moisture items , lettuce, carrots, celery, can be washed, low moisture item fruits, mushrooms, do not get washed, experiment and see what works best,

Specifically for celery wrap in aluminum foil. It is amazing how much longer it will stay fresh.

veggies go bad quickly do not buy more then you can eat in a weeks time. there is no way to make them last longer if they are already picked
