No. Alligators choose photograph voltaic with the intention to alter their physique temperature and digest their meals, so even with in the event that they theoretically have been indoors the sewer for distinctive the day, they could prefer to return out and bask indoors the sunlight for some thing of it. additionally, the conventional alligator has been customary to soak for as much as 80% of the day, if this have been the case for a 'sewer gator' the pollutants discovered indoors the sewer could surely kill it in an rather short quantity of time. So, to sum it up, there is too lots pollutants and not sufficient sunlight indoors the sewers and as a result, they gained't be waiting to help a gator inhabitants.

I lived in Manhattan for 20 years. The hundreds of homeless people who lived there were driven at night into the sewer systems by the frigid cold, wind and by the police who did not want them sleeping on the streets, alleys and sidewalk of the city. New York City's underground sewer system was much warmer than the streets on the surface. When it was a matter of life or death for the street people the sewers provider a chance for another day.

The methane gas will make you sick or kill you before long.

Most sewers aren't that big so you could only travel through the largest lines in a big city.

You can only go as deep as the lowest flow of water goes, for example the storm drains will open up to rivers.

Depending on where you live maybe. Some sewers are huge and there will be enough room to live. Watch out for the rainy season though (you might drown if you didn't pick your spot right), people maintaining them (I am sure the city has problems with peolple livinng there) and ventilation (some spots don't get enough, and you might suffocate).

There's the underwater world of the Blue People down deep into the sewers.

M.Night Shyamalan just made a movie about them.

Lady in the Water

That's the world they live in.
