Does the "christian" go strait to heaven after they die? If not, why do they say when someone dies "they are in a better place"? or "they are in heaven" or "they are with the Lord".? What is judgement day than? If he judges all the living and DEAD on that day, does he scoop the ones out already in heaven to get rejudged or are they the exception to judgement day?

Please Christians, TRY to refrain from making crap up and inventing things out of thin air. If you can, try to substanciate your claims with the book you worship.

if judgement is for the "lost"--whatever that means, why do they have to be "judged" by God at all? I thought your religion teaches that everyone else goes to hell if they don't believe in Jesus?

if the 'living' and the 'dead' are that much of a metaphorical term for all who are living but are believers and non believers, why didn't your great book of wisdom say believers and non believers? I think it's pretty clear what judge the LIVING AND THE DEAD mean. the living and the dead!!! OH come on now. ...and, um, why do the "living" need to be "judged" at all? hmmm?

Before Jesus died on the cross for our sins, those who kept the laws of God and awaited the coming of Jesus went into Abraham's bosom when they died. It is a waithing place until the rapture. Those who accepted Jesus as their savior after He was crusified, go straight to heaven.

When a human dies, no matter what they believe the sleep until Judgment Day, for the Righteous, they will live 4 eternity with God ( no babies with harps on clouds; John 3:16 ) while the wicked will wake up and go down 2 Hell, burning 4 how bad they were on earth ( Hitler will burn more than the conventionally good person who just didn't believe in God; I found this out in these verses and more: Psalms 37:10, 20; Romans 6:23; 2 Peter 3:9; Jeremiah 17:27. ) Eventually all the wicked 1's, even Satan, will b gone 4 ever.

Those that are His Bride go straight to the Wedding Supper along with other members of the Bride.
They are never judged by God for they were being judged by their actions while they were alive.
Those that are "foolish virgins" just "sleep" until they are before God on Judgment Day. They are unconscious of all around them until that Day.
Those that die that are going to go to hell go to the 5th dimension , where there are demons.
There they stay until Judgment Day where they will then be judged and then go to "hell"

The verse often referred to is "the dead are asleep in Christ", wich implies you are waiting for the Coming.
Many people site, when Jesus spoke to the theif on the cross, he said "Today you will be with me in paradise" and we must either go to heaven or hell when we die. But this was cleared up for me, when it was pointed out the verse is "Today I go to prepare a place", and later, "you will be with me in paradise"
We also know, in Peter, it states that a day to God is like a thousand years on Earth. So, even if all those people from all that time are waiting, hopefully its passing faster for them than for us!!

most christians believe that when we die, we dont go straight to heaven to hang with grandma and grandpa....we are brought before God and judged for our sins and transgressions. and if we have faith that Jesus is our Lord and savior and have asked for forgiveness of our sins (during our lifetime), we will be allowed to enter the gates of heaven. Now "judgment day" refers to the day which Jesus returns to earth to defeat satans army and to judge all who are still alive (in the physical sense). when the bible refers to "the dead" it is talking about people who are dead with sin. in other words, those who accept Christ and ask for forgiveness of their sins are "alive" with the holy spirit and walk in the "life" or likeness of Christ. those who do not, are "dead" in sin and cannot receive the life that is the holy spirit. ie: the living and the dead.

about your theory about Soul being the sum of the body and the Spirit, there is in certainty no such aspect as a Soul. it truly is only an easy synonym used to modify the word Spirit. the certainty is once someone dies, their body will rot and no longer play a position in reincarnation. The Spirit on the different hand will visit relax until eventually the 2d Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Then, the Lord will opt for the right vacation spot for each person. it truly is the finest level earlier the Spirit completely reaches Heaven.

To be absent of the flesh is to be in the presence of the Lord.
When we die, the after life begins.
We are either in heaven or hell.
