I dont think you can in Columbus but you need to check to be sure I think they list chickens as farm animals and have to have a permit to be in city limits.

Being soon the NAIS is starting there bull crap with monitoring everything from Horses,chicken,dogs,cats,pigs,cows,birds in your own back yard. In Ga you have to have 4 ac of land. But you can ask animal control.
