Just like with any sexual preditor they dont need to be there. The church should not allow it.

Why not? If they're willing and able to keep all the covenants and rules of being clergy, then they will be as good as any other. There are as many heterosexual pedophiles as there are homosexual. And if you read the news, you'll see that it's straight clergy that have been molesting children.

Since the Bible teaches that homosexuality is a sin then one would wonder how clergy can become clergy without first denouncing their ways. That being said however, I do know some clergy who are homosexual. gay, queer however you want to term it and the United church is open to gay weddings and inclusion to gays being active in the church.
The other argument is that if they are born with feelings for their same sex, then that per se cannot be changed

Personally, I think homosexuality (I'm not saying there's anything wrong with homosexuality) and the molestation of children could be easily prevented if priests were allowed to get married. The mandatory celibacy of Catholic priests almost drives a lot of them to mental cases. Don't get me wrong, it's no excuse for molesting children, but I think that the amount of child abuse by clergy members would decrease by a land slide if they were allowed to marry like everyone else.

I am assuming you are referring to the Catholic clergy. I am a former Catholic, and ever since the late 70's, I have suspected priests of being gay. I couldn't see why a healthy intelligent male would opt to live a life of celibacy. Well, gay priests are everywhere now, and it's just plain disgusting. I don't really care anymore because I left that man-made cult.

Unless it is common practice for your clergy to relate stories of the sexual prowess, urges, conquests etc. I'd imagine that it shouldn't come up in normal conversation.
I guess if you do regularly discuss your clergy members sex life, then I think that's a little too freaky!

Most clergy who are pedophiles or homosexual become clergy to try to "fix" it or keep it under control. They have feelings, worries, and religion as much as you do, you know.

no they should be because they end up molesting little boys...they should give pyschological testing to the guys becoming priests, it will help weed out the weirdos
