well theres only one thing to do. u need to give this new guy a try.the other guy is ur exand hes ur ex 4 a reason so thats that. he needs to wait cuz he messed up.so does this new guy like u and make u happy.if he dont then its not working but do u really want to give an ex another shot.make sure this new guy not making u happy and if not well then why waste each others time.if he does make u happy than stay and c where it goes. im sure if u got with ex u just break up again. so make sure to give this new guy ur all.good luck

Leave michael alone. the more you talk to him, even if you are telling him you don't want to be with him, the more he's going to belive he has a chance to get back with you or convince you to change your mind. and the longer you talk to him the harder it is for you to totally get over him. even if you're the one who ended it, every ended relationship needs time to settle in order for you to move on and possibley get something from it. and if you like the new guy at all, you have to respectful of him and leave the other guy alone. i'm not saying the two of you cant still be friends, just not yet. stay away from each other for a while. he needs to understand that it's over for good, and he won't do that unless your apart for awhile.

Been there....Kinda still Doing it. My ex wanted me back and I wanted to go back to him until I found someone else. You Have to see where things go with the new guy. Give him a chance. If it doesnt work out then hopefully your ex will still be there and if he isnt, then He doesnt really love you.

Well does this other guy make you feel the way Michael does? And what happened between you guys to make you break up in the first place. Sometimes its better to go forward than to go back.

It all depends on whether or not you still love your ex. If you want to get back together with him, then don't go for the other guy. But if you're over your ex, then definatly go for the other guy! You shouldn't wait until HE'S okay with it. That could take years, and you shouldnt' have to wait.

Michael might just be saying that because he is jealous that you have moved on. Get with the new guy because you never know where that can lead, you might have an amazing relationship with him and he shouldn't suffer just because he wasn't in your life before Michael.

Get on with your life. You need to be happy. Their is a reason he is your ex-boyfriend. If you found another go for it. You probly shouldn't talk to your ex for awhile maybe he will get on with his life when he gets the hint you don't love him back.

Michael's feelings, while respected by you, should not dictate your future. If he loves you (or obsesses about you) for the rest of his life, will that stop you from falling in love, marrying, and having children?
Probably not.
You've broken up. If you move on, maybe he will too.

That just means you aren't in love with Michael. He had his chance and now you are starting your life without him. It's the way life is. You can't wait forever, or you will be an "old maid" or something. So don't worry about it.

Just make a list of your likes and dislikes of both guys. Just in your head, and then try to figure out what your comfort level is with both of them. Generally you have more attraction to who you are most comfortable with. Dont let that decide for you, but knowing where they stand to you, is better than running on emotional fuel.
Let one down easy, just incase you change your mind. Let him know it was a really hard decision, but you think it would be better for you to stick to your gut instincts at this time... and that you feel bad.
