No, don't use the blow dryer without the diffuser. If you don't use the diffuser right from the beginning of the drying process, your hair will be frizzy.

Depending on how curly you want your hair to be. It's better to apply a product on your hair before you diffuse it. It helps you get more defined curls or waves and also it sort of protects your hair from the heat... If you dry it and then use the diffuser, your hair will come out frizzy.

I use the John freida frizz ease, then I apply cat wal curl booster/volumizer before I use the diffuser...

After I finish styling it and when my hair is almost dry, I apply ISO Bouncy Cream... It gives you more shine and it smells great, too!

the diffuser is the black thing that goes on the end of your hair drier..it helps to keep your hair from being frizzy while you're drying it. :)
