Whip up 2-3 eggs in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and whatever else you like. Toss in some cheese of any kind, chopped tomatoes, whatever...

Preheat a small pan to med-high, and coat very lightly with a bit of oil (or nothing, if it non-stick).

Dump in the eggs, and turn the heat down to med-low.

DO NOT TOUCH THE EGGS for at least 45 seconds.

Gently lift the edges of the omelet, and twist the pan so the extra egg on the top runs under.

Let it cook another minute or so more.

Fold over gently. Let rest for 1 minute.

Eat.

Get two eggs. Stir them up with a tablespoon of water. Get the frying pan going at a little higher than the lowest heat. Put in enough butter to cover the bottom of the pan. After it is heated, put in the eggs. Let them cook a little, then put your omelet ingredients on a little less than 1/2 of the eggs. Let it cook a little more, the flip the other 1/2 of the eggs over the mixture. Cook until everything is thoroughly heated. Enjoy! (A cast iron frying pan is the best for any kind of frying.)

The correct way to make an omelette for one is to take 2 or 3 eggs, crack these into a bowl, add half an egg shell of cold water for each egg used, season with salt and black pepper, mix lightly with a fork ( do not whisk ).Add a small knob of butter to a heavy based pan and heat. When hot add the egg mixture, as the sides start to cook lift the edges with a knife and allow the runny egg to run underneath, continue doing this until there is no uncooked liquid left on the top. Continue to cook until lightly browned underneath. If you like your omelette puffed up place the frying pan under a hot grill until golden brown.
There are many variations to the basic recipe, such as ham, mushroom, cheese or whatever takes your fancy. if using grated cheese or ham, place this on top of the omelette before grilling, if using warm, sliced pre-cooked mushrooms place these on after grilling.
Once cooked fold in half and serve with a side salad of your choice. Good luck, I hope you enjoy it !

For a really fluffy omelette...
Take 2 or 3 eggs...
Separate the yolks from the whites...and beat both separately...The whites should be like the beginning of a meringue. foamy and in peaks...
Fold in the yolks... Salt and pepper to taste.

Put a small frying pan on the stove with a tablespoon of butter or a teaspoon of butter and 1 of oil... When it is hot place the egg mixture in the pan...
stir a few seconds...once it has started to keep its shape, fold in half, lower the flame to simmer and cover 2 or 3 minutes...turn over once in the pan...cook another 2 min. Then remove from pan and serve...
(You can add a slice of cheese before you fold over for a cheese omelette...)

Hi there, all you do is mix an egg, or eggs with a fork or egg whisk and add in anything else that you have in your fridge, eg, tomatoes, onions, cheese, meat, heat a frying pan with oil or butter, pour in the omlette and cook untill the omlette is ready. Bon appetit :-)

take three eggs and crack them into a bowl....
whisk them until they are well blended....
spray a pan with pam or another spray....
let pan heat a little...
pour in your eggs....
then when almost cooked drop in some cheddar cheese and mushrooms.....
flip your omelet and fold it in half....so the mushrooms and cheese are on the inside...

if flipping an omelet proves difficult, just add the mix-ins (cheese, veggies, meat) to scrambled eggs, much easier and just as good.
