If Jesus said even He didn't know when God would send Him back, why are so many of you Christians so willing to try and guess? I personally am wiccan, and don't believe in the end of the world.

the bible says, no man knows the day or the hour when he will come back, but it does give signs of when he will return, and one of those signs is Israel at war with the EAST. One other huge sign is the expansion of knowledge and people will run to and fro. It's not that people are trying to predict it, they just really really want him to come back, the sooner, the better. Peace

It gives people hope that all the bad things happening right now are for some purpose and what better purpose than the coming of their Savior? Personally I don't think the world is gonna end any time soon but hey if I'm wrong it's not like I'll really be in a position to complain right?

One simple answer. same reason we want to go at red lights, want the men/women we arent supposed to have, and want what every one else has. It is because somone said we can't. Its human nature to try to do exactly what we know we can't or shouldn't.

As for not knowing the day nor the hour, it also says a wise man will understand the seasons, The bible goes further to say you will know a fool by the person who is "asking" for signs. It says the wise will just see them, but not demand them. Be careful not to be too assuming of our father. He doesnt always do what you expect.

Only God knows, but he said we would know when the end is near by the things that are going on around us.....but then you don't have to believe that the world for it to happen.

You are correct that Jesus said that not even He knows the day of His coming But He did not say for us to not guess the day of his coming, He said be watchful for His coming. Just as a small child waits with excitement for their parents to return it is also true for Christians waiting for Christ's return.

A lot of us wouldn't dare try because we know He'll come when He wants to, " . . .like a thief in the night". And none of us are so stupid as to NOT believe in the end of the world. God Bless you.

I am a Christ-follower and I do not even attempt to know when. But I do know the signs as given by God, so I keep my eyes open and my heart/spirit ready.

Who made a prediction? The Bible says we know not the day nor the hour the Son of man will come.

anyone who tries to guess is foolish. it's not a Christian's duty to predict the end; it's to live according to jesus' teachings.

Live for today.
