The most imporant domestic issue would be to reimpose the rule of the Constitution over the nation. This would require a veto of any legislation that wasn't specifically authorized by the enumerated powers of the Constitution. Basically, I'd probably have to veto almost everything Congress sent to me for my first (and probably only) term. I would also appoint judges who I felt would uphold the original meaning of the Constitution.
The most important foreign issue to me would be to reestablish America's independence and good image in the world. I would work towards a gradual but defenite roll-back of U.S. military commitments in foreign nations. I would also adopt a strict policy of only supporting nations which respected basic human rights.

The first order of business would be to achieve a national consensus on the direction Americans would like to see the country go. I would establish a national computerized system of voting that allows the individual voice to be heard and counted. In this age the electoral college is no longer relevant. The present form of government no longer reflects the capabilities inherent in a Democratic society of our technical sophistication. The issues of the day are occurring at such a speed and frequency and the need to address these issues are great enough that the pace of the present form of government can no longer keep up. I would form bipartisan panels to look at solving the issues that are most important to the survival of our species. I would offer a new amendment to the constution that once and for all spells out a complete separation of church and state, permanently. I would explain to the peoples of the world the need for population control based on the science of resource allocation and the need to conserve for the future generations. I would work tirelessly to create a global police force under the auspices of an organization modeled after the UN or the League of Nations. I would meet with regional leaders around the world and try to build a consensus on how best to elevate the mass of humanity to a subsistence level and provide health care, food and vaccinations for all children. It is imperative that we must find a common ground on which to move foreword or all of humanity is doomed. I would fully fund the sciences and the arts as they are the way foreword. I would create national and international projects that benefit all so as to empower the individual to feel a valued part of an advancing species. I would encourage dialog amongst the religions of the world so that they may find common ground on which to work for the betterment of all mankind

1) Eliminate the electoral college.
2) Create laws for dignitaries who commit crimes against the state, like "the helicopter rescue that was fouled up to get Reagan elected" (remember that one).
3) Stop offering countries money to STOP AIDS in an LESS effective way than what is working for them as a condition of our support (look it up). Just support a successful effort without conditions.
4) I would really try to stop the continued isolation of Korea and any country so intimidated.
5) Support and legislate technologies which support a healthier environment for all of us.
6) Support the UN by making it work efficiently. Our interest is best served by not being the worlds police. Let the UN do that. Playing the game fairly is in our best interest.
7) Stop the sale of military technology until it is several levels behind what we currently use. Except to the UN. Why do we arm the very people we have to fight in the near future.
8) Get the Homeland Security to be more about coordination of communication than about jurisdiction and power.
9) Support decency without censorship.
10) Register all repeat offenders
11) Learn to help counties without occupying them.
12) Support the family without supporting hate.
13) Support bi-partisan-ism. Support a multi-party system.
14) Fight Drugs by making it a medical problem and help the people (source countries) profit as well from an alternative crop.
15) Create a paradigm for real peace.
16) Support businesses that keep american's employed.
Make America a HOME for all of us!
Thank You and Good Night!

First I would use rendition on all of those anti-liberal warmongering fascist republicans .
Then I would raise taxes (starting at the top 10%) to pay off the USA dept,
Those 'taxes' would include import taxes so that the trade deficit would be reduced while increasing employment opportunities in the USA.
When there is no national dept I would then reduce taxes but not until then. At that point I would push for a pay as you go system of government. ( Sort of like that at the beginning of President Clintons term in office)
As president I would have the universities find some way of turning nuclear weapons and nuclear waste into electrical power while turning the waste & weapons into some harmless substance. This would help reduce our nuclear stock pile while providing electricity for all. As an added bonus it would portray the USA as a real leader in nuclear arms reduction and a visionary in the peacful use of nuclear power/energy.
These universities would also be given the assignment of developing long term renewable sustainable energy and how to create a long term plan for sustainable comfortable living for all the people on the planet.
Along the whole planet idea I would instuct these and other institutions to find inexpensive ways of cleaning up the pollution that exists now. Some of these area are poisonous because of industial practices aand that attitude of make a lot of money for me as quick as possible without consideration for anyone or anything else must stop.
Since more than 1/2 of the people in jail are there because of drugs as president I would try to legalize as many of these drugs as possible along with many other vice crimes. This would hopefully have a ripple affect in that there would be less other crimes because these people would not need to do that to support their drug habit. THese drugs would be taxed and regulated somehow but that would be open to discussion.
I would make overtime start at 36 hours ( four 9 hour days) or some thing like that so that more people are employed until 100% of the population is employed. I would also reduce or some how rearrange retirement so that no one goes hungry or is homeless ever.
The sooner that there is NO money for war and all people feel that they are safe , and have all of their basic needs met with a little extra for whatever. the sooner there will be true peace and prosperity on the planet. THis assumes that all of the people realize that we all live on a planet and that planet is not getting any bigger. We can not keep making more people and expect the limited resources to fill the needs of everyone if there are more people but less resouces due to the strain on these resouces caused by more people.
Less bombs and more Art supplies.
More time for art and other such activities.
There are a lot of other things to think about but reducing the national dept , trade deficit would be prioritized then employment would somehow be increased to 100% or homelessness or poverty reduced to 0%. No one should want for food clothing and shelter in the USA as long as we can spend A BILLION DOLLARS A MONTH on worthless wars. Nature and envioronmmental pprotection would be near the top of the list of priorities. We all live on a small planet and there is not another one like it for at least 4.5 light years.
I would also try to get the whole world understand that we all live on a planet and we have to live together and sustainably if we want to have humanity around in a few hundred years. That means fewer people all around.
It should go without saying that I would stop the wars started by the current anti-liberal anti-christ conservative republican fascist party.
Finally I would make a open forum so that people could enter their ideas and be more of a part of the government or governing and feel less like those who are just governed over.

I would end the B/S segregationist attitude. I am a male, white, heterosexual, father and husband and while I do not agree with homosexuality, I believe that the CONSTITUTION was written for EVERYBODY EQUALLY.
I would also reverse the B/S spending that the repukelicans are so fond of.
Before lil bushy went in, we had a definite projected surplus, The first one since Andrew Jackson! (if I remember correctly)
I would eliminate all federal tax credits for business's that have over 10 employees and use that extra money to pay down the deficit.
I would also start a independent investigation against bush and co. for actions such as the CIA operative leak, Over pricing/spending by cheney's "old" company and look to prosecute EVERY politician that has been caught in graft lately,
republican OR democrat!

firstly, i would create some fun new holidays. sodomize your best friend's little sister day (the fourth friday of every other march)
then, how about- avocado appreciation day. where we all dress up as pagan gods and sacrifice small children in some mighty, might brimstone and fire.
everywhere you go, and i mean EVERYWHERE, that steely dan song 'rikki don't lose that number' is playing. It is the new national anthem.
in order to vote for elected officials, you would have to do 3 shots of yagermeister, then jump through a flaming hoola-hoop. (bring your own hoop please)
lastly, and most importantly, i declare that the southeastern portion of the country, from kentucky southward to florida and all the way west to texas, must become it's own independant nation, and then we build a huge 300 foot high wall to keep them out.
every fourth house must be purple..... hmmm.. let's see....
so much more to say but the medication is quickly wearing off.
what's the best blog online?
funny you should ask, it is
mediakritic.blogspot.com
a laugh a day keeps the crazies away

I would cut all the foreign issues out of the picture and divert our country to tackle problems that people ignore in the US, like the amount of people that work 3 jobs and are still poor.

Oh, if it could be! Wow. I'd do the following: First, I'd fire all my cabinet members and clean out the White House of aides and political operatives. Second, I'd send the congress home and invite to Camp David previous political foes from both parties and select congressional leaders representing both parties from key committees (the smart ones only) and ex-presidents and have them rule by committee for the time being. Third, I'd send to Guantanamo Cheney and his wife, Lynn and Alberto Gonzalez, Karl Rove, Don Rumsfeld, Condi Rice, Karen Hughes, all for indefinite stays without their attorneys. Fourth, I'd hammer out legislation that sought to protect the county from all the kinds of bad governing I had been engaged in including but not limited to: interference with CIA intelligence, presidential signing statements, hiring practice abuses, recess appointments, domestic spying programs, secrets procedures, congressional oversight and standing to sue. Fifth, I'd give full access to Dana Priest of the Washington Post to write about about election and political dirty tricks that helped propel me to power and document my political abuses while at the White House, including details about my relationship with Ken Lay and Jack Abramoff and I'd come clean about my career and absences form the National Guard and my drug use and the true nature of my religious beliefs. Lastly, I'd make sure that I and others in my administration forfeited any wealth accumulated after coming to power to a newly established social security trust fund.

I'd take the money we are paying to Israel to kill the Red Cross and use it to increase the size of the Border Patrol. I'd seal the southern border , then sign a Pres. order rounding up illegals. I'd fine the employers, coyotes and the families of wet-backs enough to send them all back.
I'd tell the Iraqis they have a year to get their house in order, then I would get completely out of the middle east.
I'd ask Congress to tax the hell out of former American companies that moved south or offshore and Chinese imports.
I'd ask for the repeal of NAFTA.
I'd ask for normal relations with Cuba and cut off the cocaleros in Mexico City .
I'd outlaw dreadlocks, and if your hat is on backwards, you'd best be welding.
