The reason I ask, is one can be religious without being spiritual, and one can be spiritual without being religious. They are related, but do not always go hand in hand.

No, but I wish there were some sub-categories for this section, based on religions (atheism, christianity, hinduism, wiccan/paganism, moslem, etc). It might alleviate some of the nasty messages floating around in this section.

I agree with you on what they are and that they can be seperate. But the fact is that for the most part they are one in the same. There are a lot of categories grouped together on Yahoo....it is probably just easier that way.

NO> religion is a specific organized form of spirituality...hence they go "hand-in-hand". Do you think that mythology and folklore should be seperate on Yahoo Answers?

It would probably help, yeah. People could ask questions about non-christian things without someone butting in going "u'r playin wt da drk arts and dats stoopd cuz jebus iz so kewl n ur goin t hel!" Ow. I think I just gave myself a minor stroke.
