I would like to see a picture of a Russian visitors visa. A friend says she has one to come for a visit but I have heard elsewhere that they are almost impossible to get so I would like to know is the one she emailed to me is a real one or if it is something someone just made up. It has her picture on it and looks original enough but without seeing what a real one looks like it is hard to know.

Russian visitor visas are not impossible to get. The applicant will need to be invited to Russia by someone living there or by a tour company.

I don't have a picture to send you but they are an orange coloured label stuck in your passport. When mine was issued last year the Russian Embassy also stapled a form in my passport as well but I don't know what this was for and to my knowledge it was never checked.
