If the pic is sharp a 10mp shot can be huge!
You can take a 300 dpi 8.5x11 shot to Kinko's and get it blown up to a poster with a lot of clarity.

I shoot for magazines with a 6mp and that's more than needed, so a 10mp image is more than you need.

i shoot with a 8.2MP camera and have no problems with 20x24 prints.
