you know stop thinking about yourself. be garteful. at least you ain't in the hospital, have aids, homeless, cancer, mentally retarded. try to volunteer and help the needy. materialism is overrated. it's your peace of mind that counts. stop looking at others. you have God. the media is feeding the masses to make loot. do not think that makes you important to own stuff. you are valuable cuz you are God's child.

Anybody who can write .... sob ,,,, sob ect., isn't all that torn up. Taking time to type in the drama seems to indicate a writing talent, not a mental problem. If your computer breaks down, go to the public library and use theirs. Don't buy a new play station. You don't need it and now you will not have to buy expensive games for it. Better ones will come out in a couple of years. Believe it or not you can live without either. There's parks, public librairies, public transport, public assistance for those disabled and living on their own through communitie services. There are volunteer possibilities even for the disabled. You don't have to live exclusively on the internet or the playstation. There is more to life. Just step out your door and look. Where ever you live there are opportunities. Good luck with the creative writing. Use of a few capitol letters would help a bit, and I don't think it would take away from the presentation much, well maybe it would ....

Get a job, work instead of surfing the web all day, and buy yourself some of those materialistic posessions. Or better yet you could steal them. I recommend you start small. Borrow things, don't return them and then deny that you have them. Shoplife in your local discount store. Remember, everything you come away with is a material possession, and it's all yours. Soon you'll have a whole flat full of crap, and I bet you'll feel just as hollow as you do now. Why don't you cruise this forum and look at some of these other losers' complaints. You don't have it that bad.

You are writing that you feel depressed because you don't have material things in your home? I wonder how old you are? when I was married we did not have a house to live in or material things that we could call our own. My husband and I used to live with my in-laws home for the first three mos. of our married lives but, we were happy because we had each other. Little by little we first got an apartment and some furniture and we moved to our own home. I couldn't be happier if we had lived under a tree, because material things come and go but, had peace of mind.debts do not. Be happy with the things you do have, and God will provide.

Stop thinking about what you do not have and be happy with what you do have. The good things in life are free and from someone who owns a house and has a boat, let me tell you. I only have hearing in one ear. Do you like stereo music? I love it but only have hearing in one ear due to a tumor that was removed...I can not hear music in stereo anymore, much less can not hear someone talking on that side of my body. How about going out and running or taking long walks. Well after awhile I have pain in my legs. of course I have 2 artificial hips. Be glad you are breathing the air and are alive. There are many people who do not have what you have.

So what? All the people who have all the stuff will lose it all when they die. You can't take it with you. Life isn't supposed to be about who has the most stuff, who has the most sex, who has the most dope, it's about being good to one another and helping each other. Having stuff does not make you a good person. Personal experience with an ex proves to me that money and stuff DO NOT = class.

our society is materialistic,if people did'nt buy stuff the whole country would fall apart.

just buy what you need and be happy you don't have to fall in the trap of advertizers to make them money.

most people don't use 80% of what they have.

what makes a person rich is what they do not what they have.
and if you have good health you already have the whole world in your hands.

Come to my house. We can't put our cars in the garage. We have 2 sheds crammed full in the back yard. I can't find anything in the living room. I can't get to the stereo to play it.

I am throwing screaming fits at my husband because he works at home, but keeps too much and does not throw anything out.

You don't need it - trust me.

Here's my answer to this dilemma...

Imagine yourself on your deathbed, dying of some illness...you know your time has come. What are you going to want to have near....all your possessions? Will you have your deathbed moved to your garage with your nice cars, or have yourself surrounded by electronics or maps of your estates? Or will you want to be surrounded by the warm hearts and hands of those whom you love and who love you? My brother is one of the wealthiest people I know, and also one of the unhappiest. I think the greatest joys in life are to be found in the people you love and the relationships you form.

Life is based on material things, but it doesn't mean you have to have them. If you are happy with the what things you have don't worry you can always change the channel.
