Why do gay people try to say that them being gay is not a sin because they were made like that and they say they read the bible. You have to repent from that sin. Romans 1:26 - 28 " For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into which that is against nature: and likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convinient". When a man ignores the commandments of God and to turn and acknowledge him as Lord the worst punishment God can give him is to turn him over to himself, to his own reprobate mind. and like wise woman.

and then when they can't accept this they just say the whole bible is fake which it is not. also i don't hate or judge homosexuals. Only God can judge them. and also the sin of homosexuality amounts to all other sins as God sees it, so i can only hope for no hypocrisy in this question because no one can compare themselves to say i am better than this person cause my sins arent that bad as theres. all sins are the same and can be forgiven by God and have your sins washed away with the blood of jesus and repent to be made perfect again and have eternal life.

Some people say that homosexuality is not a sin because Jesus never specifically condemned it.

But this is a bogus argument, because homosexuality is clearly condemned in the Scripture that Jesus believed in as a devout Jew. So there was no need for Him to state the obvious.

Not to mention, there are plenty of behaviors -- taking drugs, running down the street naked, peeing on the floor -- that Jesus never specifically condemned. But that doesn't mean these behaviors are okay.

Also, some gays say that homosexuality is approved of by God because "He made us that way."

But if we take that mentality to its logical extreme, then we'd have to conclude that any sexual behavior that's driven by attraction or desire -- pedophilia, bestiality, incest -- is also approved of by God.

Why do Christians not condemn adulterers like they do with homosexuals and thieves? In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (yes in the King James version), Paul offers a list of sins that would keep a person out of Heaven. Among those listed are theft, homosexuality, and adultery. However, it seems that only thieves and homosexuals are condemned out of the three. In Luke 16:18, Christ defined a man or woman who has divorced and remarried as also being an adulterer. So shouldn't remarried people be condemned as well? Why are homosexuals and thieves the only ones getting picked on by Christians?

Likewise you have to read your Bible and realize that according to it, you are yourself sinning by judging other people. I am a Roman Catholic, before anyone tries to pull the "atheist" card. If you believe that all of these people are sinners, that's fine, and I understand you trying to "save their souls" as it's your Christian duty; but to berate someone because you disagree with or don't understand an aspect of their life, is "sinful." Of all the things said in the Bible, isn't "Love thy neighbor" one of the most repetitive messages? There are a slew of lines and passages I could quote and honestly I could go on for a while about how hypocritical many Christians are; but I(unlike others) am a Christian who refuses to berate people about the "wrongs and rights" of their characters. At the end of the day, it's a book of interpretations of events, ranging from first-hand experiences to oral stories passed on. One should not unwillingly submit all their God-given intellect so freely as to allow men from worlds, cultures and generations ago, to decide their line of thinking.

You asked a rather one sided question and ended with a quote from the Bible, so I will do the same in my personal answer; "Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; Whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure."

I would guess because a sin is an act that harms others as well as yourself... Homosexuality hurts no one. What they do is consensual, and it affects no one else other than them. So it's hard to believe that an all seeing, all knowing, all loving God would forsake individuals based on actions that harm no one. If a homosexual saved my life but in the process lost his, upon arriving in heaven if that man wasn't there I would personally kick God in the junk and say, "That was a good man, stop being so closed minded...You're supposed to be our leader...GROW UP!!!!" I may get kicked out of heaven after that, but someone had to stand against GOD,because by his own admission sometimes he's wrong, even he has made poor decisions...We'll never again see 40 days of rain. Men wrote his words...His words were his thoughts...and his thoughts change.
Every day men are willing to trade their lives for morals, I'm no different. Don't just ask God questions...tell him your answers.
Love thy neighbor as though he were you... If they're gay, so to are you.
See Ya 'round

true. Homosexuality is a sin, and if you as a man have sexual feelings towards another man, this is a test by God to see who you will listen to more: God or your own sinful temptations? It's easy for anyone to just BE gay b/c they think it's good and natural, but it's even more beneficial for a man with lustful homosexual thoughts to control them and marry and love a woman for God's sake.

If being left-handed was considered a sin, would left-handed people be able to repent? Try as they might, they would still always be left-handed. It's been proven that homosexuality is biological and is determined during the first trimester. Deal with it. What do you care if someone is gay? It doesn't hurt you. Unless of course you're insecure with your own sexuality, then I could understand your frustration.

Because they are trying to justify thier sin. If they really read the Bible and understood it they would see that there is no way they were born like that..... that goes against God's own words.

Everyone has a choice.

In the beginning God created..............man and woman.
Adam and Eve.....
not Adam and Steve!

I'm going to try and answer this as best I can. Being gay myself, but not Christian, I can understand why gay Christians would want to justify their actions as non-sinful. Being gay (contrary to popular Christian viewpoints) is something that one has no choice over. True, we could choose to go against our natural inclinations and spend the rest of our lives with someone that we could never truly satisfy, but the point is the attraction would never go away. Not being a Christian myself, I see no need to try to justify homosexuality as not a sin. I don't feel the need, because I don't believe it to be true. The bible has been used to justify allot of things in history. It used to be used to condone slavery, now we see slavery as very un-Christian. Perhaps someday, homophobia will be seen as un-Christian.

Human nature is to justify our sin. All our sins. We justify our greed, our hate, our lust, our envy, our blasphemy ... not just homosexuality. As a Christian, while I must recognize sin for what it is, I must take care to point out that we are all lawbreakers who need Christ. Furthermore, a sinner cannot be asked to change his ways without the power of Christ. If he/she is not repentant before God, we should simply pray for them and not try to change them. Any outward change without being saved is pointless.

Because it is not a sin.

The real sin comes from self-righteous people who think that just because a book says something, that they have the right to go around and mess with other people's lives and start fights and wars.

Try converting a person from being tall. You might as well try to teach your dog that it is a sin to walk using four legs.

Do you think adulterers should be put do death??? Do you believe in owning slaves??? Should we kill people who work on the Sabbath??? Then why single out homosexuality?? All the issues I just mentioned are in the Bible as well...I'm glad you follow the "commandments of God" to a letter and are therefore able to criticize others.......
