Once a child becomes an adult they become responsible for their actions. I would let my child know my thoughts about it and the rules that you have concerning it. I would make them aware that they would not do it around your younger children. If they are high they are not welcomed in your home. That they can no longer borrow your vehicles if they are borrowing them. That you will neither fund or bail them out if they are picked up for it. And then stand your ground. Then let them know that that is all you will say on the issue unless they break these rules.

Just reason with them, explain yourself to them as you have here. Tell them it's your life, your choice, and your sure they've done such in their lives. Ask them to be fair and trust you. I think you'll be fine from the way you explained it here, so w/e go for it! They should be proud you are being honest and responsible (about being irresponsible =P). Word of warning though: timing is crucial (ie. don't surprise them as just as they're heading off to work in the morning). Sit them down and have a talk with them at a good time. Also, give them time. Their initial reactions (as most peoples' would be) may be against it, but given time (ex. sleeping on it), they may come to their senses and realize exactly what ur saying.

It depends on how adult? For example, not living at home adult, then you probably dont have much of a say in what he or she does in their own time. However, if theyre living at home then just tell them that while they live there they need to live under your rules as well.
Be thankful its not something worse though.

Hey just because that person is older doesn't mean you didn't create it!
But even though you have every right to give your opinion you can't expect your kid to listen to what you have to say anymore, that is what being an adult is about. Freedom.

no, its not really your business. that is assuming he doesn't live with you. PLUS what is so bad about marijuana. it better for you than cigarettes. it is all natural and has no crazy chemicals in it. it isn't like alcohol, you dont get violent or abusive. Have you ever smoked it, more people in this world smoke pot than you'd think. it should be legal.

Of course its your busness! Even if they are all grown up and out of the house dosen't mean it isn't. You still love them right? Than stop them before its to late. If you don't they could hurt someone really bad or worse the could end up dead or murdered because they owe someone money or they just got high and did somthing stupid like jumping of a building because they thought they could fly.

no. it's none of your business. you are no longer responsible for the actions of the child. face it, you're child is now an adult and has to be responsible enough to know the danger/ consequences for their own unlawful activity. MAKE THE CHILD GROW UP.
