He even did a water into wine trick. I could tell by the look on some of the faces around me that they were not only impressed, but thought he must be close to god to perform such great feats. Then others looked like they were thinking :"Hmmm, if he could do it as a trick, then maybe that's what Jesus did, a trick" what are your thoughts?

It's stage magic and that's all. Jesus did the same thing. Blessed be.

Having studied "magic" in my younger years, I know that these are a trick or illusion. The main part of performing these tricks is to distract the audience to one hand while the other is arranging for the illusion.
As far a Jesus performing miracles or tricks, I don't know. I have some doubts as to his very existence although I think he did exist as a teacher. Nothing is known about him between his birth and age of around 30 although there is an area in the Himalayas that uses many similar things as does Christianity. It is claimed Jesus taught there before he did in the biblical areas and time of the early New Testament.
I happen to claim to be my own kind of Christian. However, it could be that Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and others may be the biggest con jobs ever done. What do you think?

It was of course a trick and I doubt he tried to say it was anything but. The problem with thinking Jesus did the same is that Jesus was never able to stage his miracles and also SCALE is alot more. There is also a problem with the fact that Healing (like a hand that has been withered for years or giving sight to the blind with just a word) is not something any "Magician" or even scientist can do even today.

People will do anything to get you to buy their act. It's a trick. Make no mistake about it. You said it right when you called him a "christian entertainer." It's what you believe in, not the show you see.

A magician has no place entertaining in a church of any kind. Jesus said beware of magicians and sorcerers.

Um you're comparing a magician to Jesus....NO COMPARISION WHATSOEVER! Jesus is a healer and miracle worker, not a magician. Thank you and have a nice day.
