Hi pancha! can you spare a few points before the real haters have me suspended? I'm almost level three! It's competition like you that make this interesting. It's the people that try to be too smart on here that show their dumb A$$! I have very strong feelings on this issue but I get both sides, only to defend my own as I believe! My humor should only show that I really wish we could be all as one but know in my heart that it could never happen without deterioration of the great country I was born to and defend even with my life if necessary. Was that too mushy? lol

Since I've seen the figures you're referring to, I did not open your links. However, as shocking as the expense of illegal aliens is, I'm also aware of the impossible job the INS has trying to patrol the border against not only those coming across individually, but those being brought across in truck loads by dedicated smugglers. To make matters worse, those who are caught and sent back are desperate enough for the $1.50 an hour jobs available through nefarious employers that they simply try again the next night.
So far as I know, the only proposal put forward that looks truly effective against a further influx is to post an armed guard about every 50 yards the entire length of the Mexican/American border. To deport those already here would require an additional umpty seven agents to comb every household and place of business from central California to Denver to Kansas City and points east. And, when those costs are compared to the monies already being spent, it becomes and no win situation.
The only other way to put a dent in illegal entry, possibly, would be to make the penalties for employing these people high enough so the practice becomes unattractive. Otherwise, as long as there's the promise of even exploitation wages it's far more than they have now, and too tempting to resist.

Pancha in effect people who submit a phony SS number paying into a system that legally they have no entitlement to. You can't break one law of the land and be rewarded with SS funds when to many of the same numbers are used over and over. It was interesting this story did not point out how many of the same people used the same SS number as was the case in Calif where over 200 illegal aliens used a woman's SS number and in a rare event SS issued her a new number due to it being so disastrous. Regardless of what is payed in. I'd like to see a state by state comparing of what illegals cost each state in regard to how much SS was taken in and how many of the same numbers were used. Not to metion America is forced to spend billions just to control the border while Mexico spends hardly anything. Fiqure in the cost of school, ESL, free lunches it adds up. Anyone who submits false information for employment with a false ss# is entilted to nothing and that's part of the price paid to live here illegally. America is not a country of selective laws.

Pancha, I really don't think you meant to post that second link.
As to the first link, while I would come to different conclusions, the suspense account is legitimate and is taken into account in any legitimate estimate I've seen of costs from illegal immigration.
Which brings us to your next link which says that after taking payments by illegals into account: "California has estimated that the net cost to the state of providing government services to illegal immigrants approached $3 billion during a single fiscal year. The fact that states must bear the cost of federal failure turns illegal immigration, in effect, into one of the largest unfunded federal mandates."

they dont' want to see figures, numbers, truth, they want to see illegals burned at the stake like in Salem, MA. these idiots r ignorant & disgust me but somehow i feel the need to fuel their anger. its like a bad car accident u can't look away. i know the FACTS, i don't justify legal/illegality, & i don't condone hate-filled @ssholes who prefer to attack ppl who they feel r beneath them. its easier for them to hate, than to do something about their pitiful, desperate lives. but i will not assimilate or fall into their Hate trap. NEVER!!!!! LOL!
