He dumped me and says he doesnt want me though. Why would he be such a jerk then?

The guy is probably hurt too but he has too much pride and doesn't want to show that he is hurt.

Like Tammy C said --> he's hurt, and he's not trying to show. He's doing this to make you feel bad for making him feel bad. You know guys have this whole attitude to be macho and masculine, now when a girl comes around and shows her power and dump her guy, he's crushed. He wants to be able to have the uphold of power, when it comes to that. You like "flipped the script" on the guy, and he probably didn't even expect that to happen, because he probably felt that he was so "great" as a boyfriend, that you wouldn't even dare leave him. But to sum a long story up and make it short; he still loves you, and his heart is broken.

Maybe he's hoping you'll fight for him, after all if you are jealous about someone else, you must still care. Sometimes the meaness is just trying to get a reaction. A lot of guys have trouble saying "hey I want to talk to you, this may have been a mistake", if it was his idea. If it was your idea to break up, well, if he's hurting, he's trying to make your hurt. They say misery loves company.

I agree w/Tammy c, but i also believe that guys are too insecure 2 c u as an equal, and their hearts have trouble mending, just like w/us girls. They r jerks because they think that that will make em seem cool, and that u'll just come running back 2 them. dont give in. dont run back 2 him. he knows that it's killing u and hurting u, so he's just gonna keep doing it. leave it alone, and find sum1 who deserves u, is faithful and loyal, and will love u till the end. that guy obvously isnt any of those things, just say "screw u" and find sum1 better. "boys r stupid, throw rocks @ them!" thats my motto. hope this helps chica!

Not all guy's are, but unfortunately you can't tell which ones will behave that way untill after the breakup
