Yes you can add a sub woofer to your system. Either buy an amp with a real good high level input or a real good hi level to low level adapter. Jl audio's slash series has probably the best hi level input stage in the industry. The other option is to use a piece made from Soundgate called the LOCX. This is the best hi level adapter you can by, lots of people make them but none like this, This unit has an optional 100hz lowpass filter in it can handle up to 85watts per channel and has a very good transformer in it for isolation. Jl slash series amps will run anywhere from $250 up to $1000.00 the Soundgate LOCX will cost about $35.00

Yes. The
Bose system has an additional output that you can run to an amp. From there you know you have to get some cross-overs to really make that ***** bang. Suppliment it with a Rockford Fosgate 15' base tube (only 1, 2 and a 2,500 watt amp will crack your windshields, happened to a freind in 1992) 1,200 watt amp, and 4 Bose tweaters. One in each corner of the car. You may want to run the existing speakers off the same amp so that you get even sound distribution.

if your bose system sounds great, 4get a sub. i got 2 12" 300w mtx subs in my trunk and a kicker 600 watts amp + a capacitor in my 03 camry and my rear view mirror is useless. i wonder what would have happened if i went bigger. i now run the amp on almost zero bass just so my car dont fall apart.

but if the bose is not too good, consider ur vehicle.
