Yeah. I have that too. Xanax is wonderful for panic attacks! You'll feel a little drowsy, maybe dizzy, but SO relaxed! It works wonders, don't worry! Ativan as well.! Put the pills under your tongue to dissolve quickly during an attack.

I would advise that until you know how this dosage affects you personally that you avoid driving, or operating hazardous machinery. If you are allowed to use 2 pills 3x a day, that totals 1.5mg a day. I'm no expert, but that doesn't sound like a high dose. Even so, you should only take it when you need to, and keep track of how much you use it so that you can keep your doctor informed.
Good luck, and I hope you feel better and are able to reduce your anxiety.

I take xanax for my panic attacks and anxiety. Your heart rate decreases, and you feel sort of numb after taking it, but in a good way. :) I can't be sure of my dosage...they're little white tablets. (Lol as if that is gonna help) It usually takes between 15-30 minutes before it sets in, so if you feel anxious, take a pill! Other than that, I would ask your doctor/ psychiatrist.

.5 is a higher dose than .25 so you don't need o expect that much. It's certainly not a high enough dose to knock you out, but it should ease your symptoms of the panic attack. However, if I were you I would only take it as needed, xanax is VERY addicting, and you should try to stay away from it as much as you can...if you have a panic attack then take it, but don't depend on it and take it everyday if you don't have to.

Yes. Xanax is an anti-anxiety medication that will help you relax. You can either take it 30 min prior to your flight, or if you feel you need the medication to work right away let it dissolve under your tongue. Under your tongue will bypass gastric metabolism and it will go directly into your system. That is a very low dose and you should feel comfortable taking it. If you swallow the medication, eat a small piece of food prior to avoid upsetting your stomach.

I think it would be wise to go to another doctor, and let him decide what dosage you need, after telling him about your previous circumstances...That dose could be lethal to a person with a low tolerance of medications...
