Good. She'll get the help she needs. Did you see the pictures and video of her that night? She was clearly not all there.

What people do not understand is that NGRI (Not guilty by reason on insanity) is not a get out of jail free card. Just because she was found NGRI, this does not mean she gets off scot-free. Very often, people found NGRI spend more time in a mental hospital than they would in jail and they get closer monitoring when they are released. Just look at John Hinckley.
So, Andrea Yates will likely be locked up in the forensic unit of a state hospital for the rest of her life. I've visited forensic units and they're no more comfy than jails. There are still bars and restrictions. They're only allowed out once a day. Their activities are limited. They have required groups and treatment. Andrea Yates will be getting what she needs.
Any punishment we could create will be nothing compared to what she's doing to herself. Imagine how she felt when she came out of her psychotic state and realized what she'd done. She will have to live with that intense guilt and pain for the rest of her life.

Andrea Yates was found not guilty? of murdering her children. That lady should be begging for the death penalty because she can never forget the way she murdered her kids, if her husband knew she was sick, and he did not use contraceptives, to prevent his wife would not get pregnant, he should be in jail for those murders as well

I personally think that she should be done the way she did her kids and right before she is dead she should taken out and wait awhile and do it all over again!!!!
I have kids and anyone who does things like this should be put to death. Or any kind of things to their kids.
These kids didn't have a say in this life and she was wrong. If she was so depressed why didn't she get help talk to someone?
I agree life can get you down but not so far down that you take a life (especially your own kids).
But I know the kids are in a far better place than this one!!!

Well obviously anyone who murders their children is mentally off but she should be sent to prison as an example. Then the next time some parent gets a little crazy the potential consequences can help keep them from carrying out any evil deeds.
