i cant talk right and i feel like gaging......is this normal????

It is normal. I had that for a rather long time. When you start out with it, then it is incredibly annoying. After about a week you will adjust your speaking and eating habits and it will not be so bad. Before you or your dentist cranks it up take a couple of tylenol. it will help a lot.
If it is particularly painful one day get the tooth ache strips or tooth ache liquid at wallmart and apply it. When my braces were at my worst i would simply carry that 24/7 and use it whenever it hurt. It works good if you use enough.

Yes, it's perfectly normal. You will get used to it, give it a few days and you'll be talking almost normal and you want feel like gaging. And suprisingly the expander is not painful, I thought It would be.

ohhhhhh yea i remember i had to get that too, its PERFECTLY ok im telling you, just be sure to clean the top thing because it can get stuff caught in it, and give it about 3 or 4 days and u'll be talkin just fine

yea its going to be very uncomfertabl for a little while them eventually youll forget they are there i have braces myself
