So it is hardly surprising that Religion can affect how you think, right?

Of course religion affects how you think! You've been here on R&S long enough to see that, haven't you?

My reproductive organs are the greediest. Then again, this could be the result of the way I think, thus making my brain the greediest. I'll need to have a long discussion with the guys about this one.

But doesn't it also affect how you think? To deny it means having no opinion or no contact with religion. Which we already know in your case is not possible, since you have both contact (here) and an opinion (that religion is greedy). So this would imply that your brain is also equally greedy, and also affects the way you think. But since it is different than my opinion, it must be your choice not to accept it. Similarly, there is no good reason to believe that it is not also my free choice to accept it, making your implications void.

if my brain is the most greediest organ that must mean im greedy right? religion affects your mind, not your brain. your brain is the thing inbetween your ears your mind is how you think. the brain may seem greedy but it simply relays the messages of the rest of your body, thats like saying the messanger of a greedy king is indeed greedy himself.

No, I believe the greediest organ in your body is your genitalia. For men, at least.

But my religion is "The sacred doctrine of knowing Gumby" ...with it, I find that I am able to walk into any book with my pony pal pokey too ...perhaps if you have a heart , then Gumby can be a part of you - but I don't think it affects my thinking much ...

I.... fail to see the connection here. Are you trying to point out the greed inherent in much of organized religion? Your analogy doesn't quite work.

I never thought of it that way... it is the greediest one!
If it doesn't get what it wants immediately, and lots of it.... goodbye to you!

It uses up about 10% of the total oxygen and food intake to generate thoughts, emotions, feelings, consciousness, self-awareness, god etc.

I agree the brain is constantly seeking; but our way of rationalizing decides what we truly believe. We have to make everything "FIT". It's enough to drive a person crazy...........!
