She is almost ten years old. She had been missing for five days, and we just got her back yesterday. She was in a dog shelter. I think that's probably why she has diarrhea in the first place.

Dogs can take many human meds. Immodium & Pepto are 2. Give it 1 tsp & wait an hour to see if it worked. If it continues go to your vet. It could be a sign of parasites.

ALBON!! and dogs LOVE it but you do need to check for worms if you let the diarrhea get out of hand it will make them where they wont eat. So have some Pedialite or Gaterade on hand just in case.

well a little canned pumpkin can help but he needs to get to the vet. take a fresh stool sample with (i know its gross) so they can test it and actually tell you whats causeing the problem. it won't take him long either to get dehydrated from the diarrhea. and the diahrrea may be a symptom of a much larger serious problem. call your vet pronto!

Give him a piece of wheat bread! (Yes, I'm dead serious.) The fiber swells in the colon, absorbing the liquid, and blocks it back up. This works for people as well as animals.
