Is it okay to give dogs a little beer? They love it so much.
Or maybe I'll just teach him to get me one from the fridge...

Okay, looked it up. Yeah, dogs love pot, too. My friend used to let his dog shotgun off him...

I actually just saw an ad in a mailer my vet sent me for dog beer!
Of course, it's non-alcoholic. It's supposed to be perfectly healthy for dogs to drink. I can't remember the name though! Sorry.

Y'know... it's just so entertaining to see a drunk dog stumble around. But seriously, that's not really good for them at all. We as humans discovered how to catch a buzz from plants by making them into other substances, while dogs on the other hand, have not advanced that far in the course of their existance. So maybe they aren't meant to have such a thing? That's just some of my thoughts on that question. But your the owner, do whatever you like. I would be careful who you let see you give any pet beer, cause you might just have some loco animal right's activist (who still eats hamburgers) call you out.
Good luck with the fetching thing, but be warned, if you give the dog the beer, it's more than likely to pop the can itself and drink it off the floor! (or you could just buy bottles) *pls recycle*

My dogs love beer and wine and have never had a problem with it with exception to a little drunkenness. I only give them a few licks though unless a beer or something gets spilled, then they will clean up the floor. It doesn't hurt them anymore than it hurts you. Getting them to get one from the fridge for you will take some serious training but it can be done. You can train them to get it out of a cooler too. Good luck!! DOGS RULE!!!

I think it would be alright to give a dog a little bit of beer, but i advise you not to give the dog too much or it might hurt their system. And i don't think you want your dog totally drunk do you? If you do that's not a good thing. Also if you have a small dog you should watch out more that you would for a large dog.

Both of my dogs love beer. We don't give them much at all -- usually just spill a little on the porch when we're cooking out or something. They are each about 65-70lbs., and handle it just fine. My friend's dog, on the other hand, is only about 12lbs., and had diarrhea for a couple of days the first time she gave her beer. Just depends on the size of the dog and how much you're giving it, as long as it's not a regular treat...

A little beer is not likely to hurt your dog if they are a large breed. It will actually help diurese their bodies and increase kidney function. However, more than a couple of ounces (say 1/4 to 1/2 cup) could do some damage.

All alcohol is poison. It messes up the dog internally just like it does us. I guess if you don't want your dog to live as long as he should, go ahead but it seems like animals abuse to me cause the animal has no choice in the matter...at least we can choose to drink or not.

No, don't give your bone grinder a beer. Beer has yeast in it and it is not good for the bone grinder's stomach. The only thing you should do is give it plain water.
