You wrote that you have heartburn a lot, and you want to get rid of it? I am a 64 yr. old woman and I get heartburn when I eat food with a lot of oil or grease like cheese or food with a lot of spices,I use baking soda to get rid of it and so far it is the only home remedy that has worked for me. I have tried alka-seltzers, tums, or any over the counter drugs and they were no help, the only one that worked was the baking soda which does not cost over .50 cents. I have been using it for more that twenty yrs.

Heartburn
This can be very painful and it can ruin your evening. There are a few things that you can do to relieve this pain.

Don't lie flat on your back. Heartburn is caused by the acid in your stomach moving upward to your esophagus. So if you are flat on a bed, it just makes it a little more difficult for the acid to go down.
Try having a bowl of rice pudding, made with milk, now this combo of the two should help absorb stomach acid.
Coffee and chocolate can inflame heartburn, so avoid them if you can.
If you heartburn is a regular problem, you should think about going to the doctor.

You need to eat more often that can contribute to your sick ness!

Well there is your problem your body needs more food to digest,Your body probably got used to having meals two or three times a day and then when you stop eating as much your body starts to find other things to digest, and right now its acids that are forming and growing in your body. Which causes very bad heartburn that seemingly never goes away. IF you dont start treating your body right you can get any number of problems, worse of it being acid reflex disease then regardless of what you want, you will have to get meds. But for now try eating three meals a day, I know its hard to do with busy schedules and diets, but you need to. You can also try drinking a glass of milk.

U can try antacids but it sounds like acid reflux to me,you need to go to Dr. and get checked. There are ways to get around paying for medications there is a commercial with montel williams in it that has to do with not being able to afford prescriptions.

Well it could be that u don't eat. But you should check with your doctor about it because my mother had heartburn a lot and found out it was gall bladder stones. Trust me it's not a problem you want to ignore.

Dont lie down for at least 30mins after eating, Avoid alcohol & smoking. Do not overeat at one time, take small frequent meals instead, and watch your weight.

you need to eat! your body produces that acid for a reason... you must give your body something to use all that acid on... if you can't afford a doctor try a health food store... they may have some options that aren't so pricey.
