Recently my videos (no, not that type) have all gone dark, and reddish.

Try reinstalling RealPlayer.
If that does not work, try something else like Real Alternative.
Personally, I do not like RP. It is to full of spyware and requires you to use their player. I much prefer open source codec systems, which do not put such restrictions on users.
You can get Real Alternative here. It is free, and works with most RA and RAM files.

Real Player is garbage. Use Media player classic.
