The Old Testament forbids tattooing. The act of getting a tattoo is a sin regardless of the nature of the tattoo.

Well according to the old testament it is because tribes would have tatoos of thier gods on thier bodies so the church said that the tatoos are a sin so that the tribes would not use them any more. But now a days I dont think so its your life do what you want

I do not know your motivation... that is what might make it a sin... But, Why would you want to deface a beautiful body in that way?
You will regret it in latter years you know...
