I mean food has alot of preservatives and everything says "fat free" or "organic" or "all natural". We know that this is not true and they are just adding unnecesary ingridient to our food. Also all these medications I mean we have a medication for everything. People take so many medications that make you sicker then you have to take more medication to fix the problem that the last medication caused.

you are very VERY correct about processed food and over medication, but nothing will change because "medicine" will not change. Doctors are taught that there is a "magic" pill for everything in med school and that is how they go about in there practices....we are lucky enough to have naturopathic physicians that are trying to change all that, but they are a needle in a hay stack.

I agree with you about the highly processed foods. However, nothing will change until the demand for healthier options exceeds the profits for the other stuff.
As for medicines, although sometimes it seems like we're overmedicated, I don't think that's always the case. For instance, five years ago a perceptive doctor did a blood test and found out I have hypothyroidism. He put me on Synthroid and I've been taking it ever since, getting checked periodically to make sure I'm not taking too much or too little. It has been a lifesaver for me. I haven't lost weight because of it (a common misperception), in fact it's almost impossible for me to lose weight. However, it has helped me stay awake (I would be ready to sleep at 2PM before I started taking it...I was always tired) and my skin isn't as dry as it used to be. Need I also mention the wonderful invention of birth control or heartburn medication? Sure we don't need to take these medicines, but I think they make it possible to enjoy life more fully. We need to be proactive and find the drugs that make our lives better and we need to research what we put into our bodies. Often the "new and improved" drugs the drug companies are pushing aren't as good as older drugs that have less side effects.
