I think it's hilarious that you bleeped out the p at the end of crap and left in twats...hehe. :) You either have to learn to laugh and accept or go insane. Those are our options as human beings. I'm not saying you can't make a difference, but you're not going to make one by hating the world and yourself and your life. Go volunteer at a homeless shelter or a hospital to get some perspective.

Everyone has times when they feel like this and start to question the point of it all.
When you're growing up life is so easy and you think it will alwayss be that way. You expect to get your education, get a great job, find your partner then settle down and life happily ever after but the reality is, its just not that straight forward! And its not reality.
The world isn't a rosy happy place where everyone loves each other and only great things happen to people. Your life isn't the perfect existence you alwyas thought it would be and yes, people are selfish b*stards.
But the major mistake people make is that they don't appreciate what they do have! They don't realsie just how lucky they are!!
So your friends are tw*ts.... at least you have friends
So your family are at war..... at least they're not dead or dying
So you don't know what to do with your job..... who does??
You talk about the news...... anyone with half a brain knows that everything on the news is made to sound more dramatic and serious than it actually is. The medie hype EVERYTHING up in one way or another to sell papers. They want people to panic and worry because its good for business.
Try to appreciate to things you do have and look at the positives of life. Too many people get cought up in their own problems and issues without realsing how small and insignificatn those problems are. And take a break from watching the news!!

Well you are not alone. I am feeling the same way today. All the good advice in the world doesn't really help, just makes you feel like a bigger looser. It's funny how the ones saying go do some good sound the least compassionate. I spend allot of my time alone because it does appear most people are only concerned about their stuff and manicures. It is hard to be a caring person in this world. I have no good advice for you, because I have been trying to "look on the bright side", or "reprogram my computer." for many many years without success. Reality does suck. Even all the do gooders are not something to smile about because they are usually a bunch of hypocrites. I know, I have done a bit of volunteer work with stuff from the Red Cross to women's shelters.
All the stuff about the fairytales is true, we are taught to believe that if we do certain things life will be good. I have been a hardworking, honest, kind and generous person all my life and, the only good thing I can say about it is I can respect myself for it, it really has not helped me get anywhere in life. Some people do have happier lives, and don't listen to anybody who tells you it's your fault. It's mostly about luck, and "how we do get programmed" and as the book The Road Less Traveled says, very few people ever get over it of change it.
I think this is like some Seinfeld bizzaro world where nothing is as it should be or as it seems. If you are a caring, intelligent, and compassionate person you have to put up with allot of idiots who think they know everything when in fact all you have to do is take one philosophy class to realize that no one knows anything, and we have been trying to figure it out forever. No I have no advice for you. But you are not alone, and you are probably saner for facing the reality than people who try not to look at it and find a hobby instead. You are probably of high intelligence because you see things others don't, not that that is so great because as they say, ignorance is bliss and it's lonely at the top. One thing I can say is that while I am sorry for you that you feel down, at least I know I am not the only one, and I feel a little better letting you know you are not either.

Wow, I thought I was the only one that felt this way! I don't have any suicidal thoughts though. That's out of the question.
My family isn't happy unless they are fighting, I hate my job! No one has manners, no one cares about the planet, there are so many selfish, greedy, destructive people in the world today.
I just look at it this way: life is short. I'm going to enjoy my little piece of the pie as long as I can. I even try to enjoy those horribly depressing days by just lying around doing nothing. Pop some popcorn and pop in a favorite movie.

People are a lot like computers. We start out empty and get programmed from birth. If your programming sucks, you must reprogram yourself. All your life you have probably seen and heard a tremendous amount of negitivity. You have probably learned to process everything you see and encounter in a negitive way. Obviously, if you feel the way you do, you need to stop working with your existing thoughts and start reprogramming yourself in a possitive way. Challenge yourself to find the good in life. There are many great things about being able to experience life if you look closely. For the most part you are probably free from having to worry about getting air, water, food, and shelter. so you are already better off than the majority of people on earth, and free to move on to more rewarding things. They're out there, but you have learned to dwell on the negitive. Reprogram your computer to think of others before yourself and you may be surprised at how fast your sadness can turn to happiness. Jesus was no fool.Whether or not you believe.
Would you please do me a favor? Find someone or something you can do a good deed for. You would be tremendously surprised at how much volunteering pays! PEACE and LOVE.

Evertime I hear some silly crap like this, it makes me ill...
Look - you are in charge of what happens to your life. No one is going to make it better for you - except you!
Change your friends, have the guts to tell your family to grow up (and get out if you're old enough and they can't) get a job where you can be an individual contributor, stop watching the f****** news if you can't handle it, do some volunteer work with kids or old people.
Make a difference, for pity's sake! Stop whining!
You can't change the world, but you can sure change your slice of it - and feel better as a human being.

I tried suicide it doesnt work and normally makes things worse trust me on that one. My family suck as well they are always arguing so I know what its like . I so agree with the news there was a newpaper that only did good news it went bankrupt because people like to read of others misfortunes.
Manners are a old concept and in the modern dog beat the crap out of other dog world there seems to be no place for manners if you say please or thank you people look shocked I know I live with my grandparents now and they have straightened me right out with my p's and q's.
People are only concerned with making money and having enough time to slob out at home and fill their faces with junk food. People are so destructive because what is there to live for we work for pitance get harrassed by goverment and others with forms and rules and when we eventually get old our pensions will be ripped off by fat cats who steal from the poor's pensions so they get something when their company goes bankrupt.
So the moral is that the world is **** cause the people in it are selfish and cruel but all we can do is make what part of the world we have to deal with that bit better by looking after ourselves and help others when possible.
Try and find one thing you love in life a pet a band you want to see the next single of and latch on to that I would have commited suicide a age ago if I hadnt stayed for my dog cause I know none of my family give a **** about anything but themselves plus I wanted to see the next lord of thr rings pathetic bu hey it worked find something to hang on to it will help and keep talking on here and chat rooms.

Hey, the only reason I'm still here is because I'm afraid to commit suicide. This world truly sucks. There are so many horrible people, and the world is just so empty. You spend the beginning of your life in school, and then spend the rest working. You never get anywhere, and there's just no point to it.

I don't really have an answer, but I know how you feel. It's all the cliches--drowning, suffocating, it's hell. I've been through it all. I've even gone to counseling, tried drugs, etc. But it never totally goes away. The feelings of inadequacy, lonliness and all-around hate for self resurface every time. I keep holding on though. I feel like someday life HAS to have something better. I've been stuggling for 14 years--suicide attempts and all. So, like I said, I don't have an answer, but you're not alone.

Get-Used-To-It.
You have a problem that was diagnosed a loooong time ago by some great philosophers.
Expectancy. You expect the world is supposed to be good, that life is supposed to be easy, that friends are supposed to be great and that people are supposed to care.
They don't, they aren't required to, and to be expectant is to be dissapointed.
Lower your standards, people are bred on stupid fairy tales that make life out to be some kind of magic playground. If you want to enjoy life you need to be prepared to take what you can get.
Besides, everyones gone through what you've gone through, it will probably pass once you realize the above.
