Does eventual eternal boredom after some billion billion billion million billion trillion trillion billion billion...---> years have passed with the prospect of a never ending series of more years to come sound like "living"? I mean, honestly, how many hymns can you sing? Have you ever gotten bored at something, even something great, after a much shorter time then eternity?

Don't be hatin', I'm just asking for your honest reflection on the prospect of eternity......How long will it take until you exhausted every possible option, and find yourself repeating prior states over and aver again with nothing new again ever possible? Do you have any concept of how really long eternity is? What ever your concept, when you get there you still have an eternity to go.

Eternity is not a "time period" in human terms. Once in Heaven, we will be outside of time. There will be no past or present or future -- just one big continual glorious Now.

I know it's hard to imagine. After all, we are humans and our minds work logically and chronologically. But Heaven doesn't work that way. It's above all that.

I'm not going to chew you out or anything, because of difference of opnion, people have the freedom of religon. However, basically heaven is "life" after death, just in different terms. Heaven is a place of no sickness, fear, death, or pain. Don't get the wrong opnion that all you would do is sing hymns. Our minds cannot comprehend exactly what it will be like, so most of it is left to our imagination. It is a world unlike any other. You are right about eternity, it might be crazy to think of it. But, think of this, nothing. You always see a color, but even that isn't nothing, think that if there is nothing after this life... what will there be?? nothing

That is by far the hardest question for me to wrap my mind around as a Christian. In fact, I still haven't. I'm told by the Bible that simply being in the presence of God is going to be enough to satisfy for eternity. And I have an incredibly hard time firguring it out. As you point out, we have extremely short attention spans. I get bored in church:) How I'm going to be satisfied for all of eternity is something I will never grasp, until I experience it. But I do believe it. It's something I have faith in. In my eyes, God can can create a universe this intricate and perfectly balanced, so I think He can make good on His promises. How will He do it? No clue, but I do believe it will happen. So no, I have no concept of how long eternity is, but I think I have a concept of eternity.

well ok, you sorta got me. yes after eternity its very possible you exhaust all possibilites, so why not do it again but make it harder? pusha against yourself. trust me there is also no limit to how much you can push yourself. you can do something a bajillion times and itll never be the same (thus the chaos theory comes into play) also wouldn't it suck worse to just stop existing. no human can imagine it without an insane fear of death and will not take anymore risks ever again. eternity might sound like a long time, but youll get used to it eventually.

I don't know if what is up with you, but there are many types of Christians, and it is the only one that hasn't been disapproved.
Like the others said Eternity is different, you are make anew and nothing is the same. Be kind to one another. Time isn't the same, Plus God didn't make it possible for us to understand everything, that is what faith is all about.

Heaven, like Hell, is in eternity. Eternity has NO time. It is all NOW. There's no possibility for boredom.

And we don't sing hymns. There's an angelic choir for that. We got other things to do. Jesus said, "Eye hath not seen nor ear heard, the wonders which my Father in Heaven hath prepared for you."

If you trust Him at all, trust that it's gonna be terrific and stop worrying about it. Worry about something you can change, like your car's motor oil or transmission fluid or something.

Religion is based upon the premise of RISKS and REWARDS...If you're good you go to Heaven...if your bad you'll go to Hell (assuming these exist). Of course accepting Jesus/or doing some penance will absolve you of your sins so you can avoid RESPONSIBLITY for your actions and be rewarded with Heaven anyway. See the hypocracy of the Religous view on this stuff. Of course it's just a metaphore for how to live your life in the HERE AND NOW. You can live your life respecting others and the environment, loving those closest to you, having compassion/empathy for those more needy than yourself, etc. than you would be creating a HEAVEN ON EARTH. PEACE!

How long would it take you to discover all the mysteries of all the things in the universe?
To just explore the earth fully might take alone 1000 years if you're fast.
In a 100 Tril. Years (that 100,000,000,000,000 years) just to go through a third of this galaxy.
How many galaxies are there how many mysteries are there.
What you think the universe is not ours to explore?

where did you here Christians don't believe in life after death.... it is the very teachings of Jesus that he promises us eternal life with Him in his Kingdom...it is Heaven...and no I will never be bored...there will always be new things to learn in heaven because the knowledge of the universe will be reveiled to us....that takes a long time...u can't learn the whole universe in a day...plus God does not know time...the way things are in heaven are completely different than this world...
