Speaking from personal experience, I can say for me that it didn't work after over 5 yrs, she just quit calling me and it always was one sided to her when I would make efforts to fly out to see her and she would be jealous when we were online together. Five years is a long time to me and to have it end up nowhere was really frustrating but everyone is different. I hope it works for you though.

i dont like internet relationships... those never work....

but long distance ones are ok... i'm in a long distance relationship right now (550 miles away)... and we're doing great even though i only get to see him about once every 3 months... we've been going out for over a year... and my friend and her boyfriend are in a long distance relationship too (350 miles)... they get to see each other every two weeks or every month and they've been going out for over 2 and a half years and they're going to get married!!

they are ok but they are really tough. it takes alot more trust in the person because aren't there with them. So you have to believe that they are telling the truth when they say they were gone for the weekend cuz their grandmother died. If you think that everytime they are a couple hours late talking to you it's because they were with someone else then obviously it's not going to work. So yeah they can work but it takes alot of FAITH in someone you might not know all that well.

long distance - yes. as long as you can still see each other atleast once a week.

internet realtionships - depends. if you met them on the internet then NO. they're probably not who they say they are. but if you knew someone that you could only speak with on the computer that's fine. as long as you knew them before you started talking to them over the internet.
