You forget that death is not the punishment. Death comes to all, in time. The punishment or reward comes after death. And just think of what pain a child may have been spared in the future. Not that I particularly subscribe to this, but it is an explanation. Besides, God doesn't need your approval for his actions or inactions.

Yes, children are innocent. But how does that stop God from having to save them from calamities each and every time. There will be suffering, there will be turmoil. God never said life would be a bed of roses. We are put through trials. Trials can either make us or break us. God is no respector of persons. It rains on the just and unjust. The wonderful thing about a child is just what you said, they are innocent. They will be ushered into Heaven, and that's the grand thing.

May be He loves those children and has something better for them near him. Maybe he made a mistake by sending them in the first place or may be thy were destined to go through the trouble since God wanted them to endure...

I too sometime think God is bad and not merciful, But look at the other side, So may new kids are born every second somewhere... Cycle of Life..... I feel this is an excellent questions when the world is going through this tough time.

God does not hold a child liable for his deeds here on earth until he is responsible enough to understand right from wrong. If a child died at such a young age, he would definitely go to heaven. We may never understand why God Takes away our loved ones when he does. But he has said that everyone here on earth has a duty to full fill. some of us don't get off as easy as the young ones that pass on, some of us have to stay around for the long haul. God Bless

The first thing you need to understand is God does not cause innocent children to die in calamities. Satan is busy in this work. But my personal belief is that we cause these things to happen so we are accountable. We polute the air which in turn effects the weather causing bad weather and calamities. We polute the water which in effect causes disease causing children as well as others to die. We build houses on hillsides and cut trees to accomodate these houses causing the possibility of mudslides which causes death in some instances. So we can lay blame on others but we ourselves are causing most of these things to happen. We polute, we expose our children to second hand smoke, some mothers take drugs while they are pregnant causing birth defects, ect. So next time you want to blame someone else for something just remember when you point, there are three fingers pointing back at you.

God loves you and doesn't cause things to hurt us. But it is a lot easier for most to blame Him than to take responsibility for our actions.

The answer to your question is the same answer to all questions pertaining to the evil and destruction in today's world, and believe it or not the answer is the same answer for any religious or spiritual individual, even atheist. For Christians, mankind doomed itself at the Tree of Knowledge deciding to step away from the grace of God and determine their own destiny. Through Jesus their is a lifeline for those who can endure the consequences of the Eden event til his return. To Buddhist, Hindus and any other religion based on the positive and negative flow of thought and energy, the evil bred in our hearts, the malice and envy, greed ans materialism have created the same type of environment. Literally an atmosphere of evil and destruction. And as for atheist who believe in no supreme being and that man determines his fate it's simple. The ravaging of the Earth and its natural balance of air, water and earth through pollution, disease, etc has caused the Earth to try and repair the damage itself through unnatural movements of water, air and earth. Long story short its really all man's fault in the end.

Assumptions assumptions. If you're going to take the Bible at it's word (which you are starting to) then let's examine this. In these "calamities", they were always judgments upon unholy and abhorrently evil people. That's who were being punished and destroyed in Old Testament times. Oh, and most of the evil peolpe were not killed. As noted David, who said the evil seemed to "prosper" and be "rich."

The world is a terrible place.

Children can be punished for their ancestors wrong doings, think about that before you act.

I personally do not question God's actions. I just believe and love him because he has blessed me an done great things in my life.

the bible states they wont stop until their king is god, thus a'bad'don is god and he isn't merciful. He is probably greedy based on what i see in the movies.
and when in the artificial atmosphere that is the light in which their is no darkness you get that feeling of peace and love but it don't last. cause i was in that light and know that god don't love except His own and His drug profits, aka, hells angels at war book. But persnally i don't have any evidence of wrong doing except they bugged my head so they can torment Me any time they want.

That's a big "IF"

"The gods can either take away evil from the world and will not, or, being willing to do so, cannot; or they neither can nor will, or lastly, they are both able and willing. If they have the will to remove evil and cannot, then they are not omnipotent. If they can, but will not, than they are not benevolent. If they are neither able nor willing, then they are neither omnipotent nor benevolent. Lastly, if they are both able and willing to annihilate evil, how does it exist?"
Epicures, 300 B.C.
