Well you won't have to imagine what the rapture will be like if you are saved. I would feel pretty bad for those who aren't. But maybe that will get people to actually believe. After all, it is one of the last things God does to the earth to save his children.

The "rapture" will be a secret.

But those left behind will be crying out,
"Hey! I thought there was supposed to
be a rapture before the tribulation."

It's not just the non-believers that stay for the tribulation.
The "foolish virgins" will also stay for the tribulation.
Who are they? They are the ones that went pretty far in trying to serve the Lord but didn't go far enough.
They were clean , "virgins" as far as their spiritual walk, but they lacked the Oil of the Holy Spirit.
They followed some man, some teacher or pastor who didn't take them all the way to the Fullness of the Truth
to make the rapture.

Don't forget all the planes that will crash, all the power will be out, the fires and no firemen to man them. Don't forget that all the criminals will be out and not enough policemen to control the situation. Not enough nurses or physicians to help those that half been brutally beaten, raped etc.. by some of the criminals left behind. Don't forget the ships and boats that will be unmanned and people left out in the ocean. No way to get food because the roads will be so blocked, you won't be able to travel. That's assuming you can get to the gas station to even travel. I'm glad I won't be here to see it all.

ummm...yeah. what i find hard to believe is that so many seemingly intelligent people have this fairy tale belief that one day millions of people will suddenly disappear in a rapture. i'm no biblical scholar, but i don't believe the rapture is even mentioned in the bible. am i wrong?

...."the dead will rise first" -- "I will raise you up on the last day" - "and so shall we meet in the air and ever be with the Lord" - as thermonuclear fire 'descends' "those who are alive and remain" will be caught up.. and meet the Lord as He is arriving "after the tribulation, of those days"/Mt 24. [Also 1Thess 4; John (?) 1 corinthians 15:51(?)]

When you are old and dying and the rapture still hasn't come and the end of the world hasn't come... think of me... Lucky Fokker
