Please tell me what you have been taught or learned. Also is it bad for your soul. Cause I'm Catholic.

I can't believe how many people say porn is not bad for you. I know too many people that I care about that have been enslaved by a litteral addiction to pornography. It has done nothing but hurt them, and hurt their families. Pay close attention to your feelings in your heart about this, Remember Paul told us to seek after things that are vitruous,lovely, praiseworthy, or of good report. even if you do not get sucked into addiction, it will make you less sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Whatever you choose, I beg you to please, please, please, please do not bring pornography into your marriage.

I am not Catholic, but I think that pornography is not bad for you unless it becomes something you obsess over, or if affects the way you function. I know Catholics are taught it is a sin, and I don't particularly like the idea of people having sex as a job (I view sex as something special), but to each his own...

Whether you are a believer or not it's bad and wrong. It creates addictions and sometimes it can traumatize people. The acts that are portrayed in those movies are not what really happens in real life. Anal sex in reality is probably bloody and has some pain. STDs do no exist in porno's if you realized which makes it seems they don't exist. I feel sorry for the actors.
Think of this. If Jesus were to stumble across pornography wouldn't you think that he would be furious. He would be sad that he died for that kind of crap to exist.

The only thing I hear as a compelling argument against porn.
"Watching pornography makes sex less fun."
Bad for your soul? Pah, just about everything is bad for the Catholic soul (family is catholic.) If you really feel guilty about it go to confessional and do however many Hail Maries they ask you to do.
My advice, avoid religion like the plague and enjoy your porn.

i am also catholic. nothing in life is bad unless you abused it. pornography if it is tasteful can be used as a guide for your sexual expriences. it can also be used to stimulate the couple when they are getting in the act.
now if you are into child pornography or acts of violence in pornography then yes it can be very harmful physically and mentally.
usuing your best judgement is the best. even though the church is against having acts of sex without a partner a sin, would this make you think twice before masturbating by yourself or having acts of sex without marriage. knowledge is the key for fullfillment.

It is bad. Any sexual crimes committed nearly always trace back to some form of pornography, even the "innocent" kind.

Not at all. Catholics are WAAYYYY too up tight about sex. Every part of the body is beautiful, and sex is perfectly normal.
