They weren't cave men, and no where does it say they spoke English. God named one Adam, Adam named the woman Eve.

The bible doesn't say that woman has an extra rib . It said that God took one of Adam's ribs and made Eve. Cave men were men who lived in caves and God named Adam and Eve.
Baptist believe that the Bible is literal because it is the inerrant word of God. Everytime someone questions what was written it is proved to be fact later by scientist and others who excavate areas.

adam and eve where named by god and were not cave men, they were the first true humans, they're the same as you and me. also adam didn't give up anything, it was taken to make eve. and that was a sacrafice not a life changing manner. unless you spawn woman from your body , youll have the same amount of ribs as everyone else. and baptists take the bible so seriously for thata what spawned them to leave the catholic church, the publication of the bible. cause apparently the priests and such were "lying" to them yet no one could possibly over look that the entirety of thenew testament was put together by a bunch of old geezers.

Hard-shell, foot-washing, all-over dunking, Baptist, is she?
Well, dear, it's like this. What you're raised to from infancy is likely to be what you keep to as an adult. Few people really sit down and take the time to go over their childhood experiences and training and figure out what, if any, of them are wrong. I mean they figure that since they dumped the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, that's all they needed to do.
Your teacher shows just how limiting that attitude is, doesn't she? I suppose if it gets YOU off your duff doing that examining then she's done a good job as a teacher, even if it's not what she originally planned to teach.

Your anatomy teacher obviously doesn't subscribe to the idea that there were ever "cave men" let alone dinosaurs.
Besides, not all Baptists are the same. You're simply assuming all Baptists are "Southern Baptists" that's an unfair and untrue assumption on your part.

umm please do not say such things it is going to make people angry.
i have seen this question many times before and this is my answer
Its because a religion is based mainly on beleif so if you beleive you probly beleive fully but what most dont relize is that ys the bible is the words of god but it was written by man and not all by the same man. when you get so many people adding little parts here and there then it changes from truth to the mostly truth.
What you need to look at isnt the direct story but its morals
Adam and Eve story = God created everything and made man happy. He took it away because we did not follow him
Its teaching us to listen to god

Because the Bible is the literal word of God. The book of Genesis was recorded by Moses in what is known as reverse prophesy, that is, revealed after the fact.

Cause Baptist not to be rude or anything. Cause the Baptist faith doesn't have the whole truth/fullness of faith unlike Roman Catholics.God named Adam and Eve.

If you notice they only take literally in what they believe they do tend to ignore alot of the rest of it. And they do not believe in evolution only creationism so Adam has one less rib.

Because, the Bible is the Inspired Word of God---written by men who were the inspired disciples and teachers of God's words given to them by the Holy Spirit.
The Bible commands us and warns us----
You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you." (Deuteronomy 4:2)
"Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it." (Deuteronomy 12:32)
"Do not add to His words Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar." (Psalms 30:6)
Extra Scriptural teachings that say things the Bible doesn't say are in reality displacing the word of God and replacing it with the teaching of man.
In our schools, our government, and even in some of our churches, the truth is placed aside and replaced with a man-made creed or confession that we are expected to believe in rather than the God's Word.
