I cannot believe how people can turn something to show affection into a perverted thing!! I realize there are perverts out there who would do it to get off, but for Pete's sake people!!!!
I still kiss my parents on the lips...I am 34. And yes, I still kiss my children on the lips. (If they are comfortable with it....like not in front of friends....). Like someone else said, it's not like we are slipping the tounge! I don't think there is ever an age when you should stop kissing your kids. They need to know how much you love them!

I have never kissed my son, daughter in law or 2 grand kids on the lips !
Always on the check with a great big loving hug.
I'm sure everyone has different feelings but there are way too many things that can passed on to each other.
My husband is an entirely different story, by now he has got to have the same germs as me after all of these years !

It depends on the comfort of an individual. Yes, I still kiss my kids that way every night before bed, and occasionally still kiss my parents like that. I don't see anything wrong with showing that type of affection at all. I also feel that it's hard to calculate an age because again it depends on the individuals in question.

I'm 25, and I still kiss my mother and father on the lips. That's a good question, but I don't see what's wrong with it. In some culturals, especially mine, it's rude not to kiss them on the lips, if you're their son or daughter.

Hi there,
The Champ here. Hummmm.. you are confused?
Hey, i think that the ideal age to stop kissong on the lips is the beginning of teenage. All boys and girls become aware of their self. They wouldnt like you to kiss on their lips. Instead a kiss on their cheeks is fine. Try to appreciate them instead of kissing on their lips by saying inspirational words. This works a lot.

Affection could be shown by many means i.e. taking them out, huggung them, words of appreciation, occational treats, patting their backs giving a good handshake (in case of boys) etc.

Thats what i think...

So, take care and Njoi life!!

I am a father.

My son is 30, my daughters are 28 and 26. My grandson is 7. We all kiss each other on the lips. It is not wrong. It is not erotic. It is just something we always have done.

My ex still wants me to kiss her ***, but THAT I won't do.

Yuck! I never kissed either parent on the lips. I always kissed and got kissed on the cheeks, forehead and it was followed with lots of hugs. I prefer it that way since a kiss on the lips is just that...with hugs added it takes on a whole different meaning.

I dont kiss my kids on the lips because I'd rather kiss on cheeks and give lots of hugs!!!!! They love it.

I was raised kissing my parents on the lips and always thought it was gross, I never kissed my kiddos on the lips, we kiss on the cheek. I simply tell them a kiss on the lips is for your husband or wife to enjoy.
I think if it was taught as a kid, like I was, my parents stopped when I became a teenager.

I still kiss both my parents on the lips. I also kiss my child on the lips and she is 10. I guess it depends on the comfort of all parties involved.
