I want to make backups of my Windows XP CD. Can I do this, legally? What about providing this backup software as a service and charging people for it??

Yes, you can make backups of your CD foryour own personal use, but you cannot sell those backups.

Also consider that the CD KEYS which Windows gives with each CD does not work with ALL Cd's. They are batch coded for additional security.

i think for your own use it's better to backup already installed windows, in case probably you'll have probs with windows in future. i'd advice to look at true image, i think it's the most convenient prog for such operations.
