Yes!!!!!!!! I currently have 2, and at one one time had three. Lost one last April to a bad hip dysplasia.They are the most loyal, loving, gentle giants in the world. I got my first one (Gino) after a relative died 5 years ago, and it was love at first sight. They are prone however to many health issues-hip/joint problems and dysplasia, spinal problems, heart, thyroid and teeth problems, and the life span (average) is about 7 or 8, if they are healthy. But, those faces!!! All those wrinkles!!! I personally think they look like the Manitee 's in Florida or a sort of Walrus without the large tusks. They are really rare around where I am, and am frequently stopped while walking them for people to just stare and say "What the hell are those?" I say "They are my living gargoyles" Protective, territorial and wonderful with children. No wandering, not a lot of exercise needed-We walk twice a day- the morning about 45 min., and evening about 30 min. , and they are in and out all day.Easy to housebreak and very very smart. Warning-If you do get one-Be sure to use special herbal shampoo, cuz they have a musty smell sometimes. Sort of like bulldogs- But, if you love your dogs, you don't mind too much!!!!!!

Thankfull I do not, but often doggie-sit for my best friends that do. He is a nice dog, although he has low energy. The worst part is the SMELL!!!!!
He smells like if you go deeeeep into the woods and turn a rotting log over. They bathe that dog a lot, and it comes right back. The house smell like Triton. It is a very unique smell. I guess if you can tolerate the smell, they make great dogs. There are also a LOT of folds of skin to clean in between and watch for rashes!!
