Ingredients:
8 cups very finely chopped cabbage
1/4 cup shredded carrot
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk
1-1/2 tbsp. white vinegar
2-1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
Directions:
Be sure that the cabbage and carrots are chopped up into very fine pieces, about the size of rice kernels. Combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice and beat until smooth. Add the cabbage and carrots. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Creamy Style Coleslaw
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons green pepper, minced
1/4 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
dash powdered ginger
dash of white pepper
2 cups shredded cabbage
1/4 cup shredded carrots
paprika
Preparation:
Combine first 9 ingredients to make the dressing. Add cabbage and carrots.
Blend and refrigerate for a couple hours. Decant into serving bowl and sprinkle with paprika.

why not try coleslaw with a zing?!
MEXICAN COLE SLAW
1 avocado, ripe, peeled and diced
1 bunch cilantro, finely diced
1large tomato diced
1 cabbage, sliced and diced
1 cup diced celery (or a whole bunch of celery)
1 brown onions, diced
1 fresh jalapenos, seeds removed then diced
Mayo
salt/pepper to taste
In a large bowl - Add the cabbage, then the cilantro, tomato, celery / onion, jalapeno and a dash of salt/pepper.
Add the avocado then 3 big spoonful of mayo or just enough to moisten to your taste. Mix well. Chill for 1 hour and serve cold

ok, to save time just buy a package of shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix. For the dressing, in a coffee cup (it's about the perfect size) mix 2 big spoons of mayo, and milk to thin, lots of black pepper and salt, a pinch of sugar and a capful of vinegar. I know this recipe isn't exact, but it's real hard to mess up. Just try it.

Shredd one head of cabbage, grated 4 carrots, grate 1 med green pepper or red pepper, gated 1 med onion, add 1/2 of tsp of vinager & oil 1/2 jar mayannaise or salad dressing, season to taste.
