That's not what it says- He won't shoot a lightening bolt down to destroy you and your B/F but rather allows YOU to suffer the consequences of your actions.
It's just another example of "free will" God allows mankind...

Please read the entire context of the scripture in Romans 1. What I think it means is that: the people began to change what they thought God actually was. They started coming up with their own ideas. "22: Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23:and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things."
So then God gave them up to their own foolish ways. So, he didn't make them be that way, he just let them go on in their sinful ways because they "25: . . . worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator. . . "
I understand your torment with being gay and the thought of disobeying God. I am tormented with some of the sins that I have committed as well. Repent and ask for forgiveness. Try to turn from all sinful ways that you have been living. I know it is hard, it is just as hard for straight people not to lie, cheat, steal, and commit adultery. No one is perfect and everyone has sins of their own to deal with, but sin is sin. Give your sin to Jesus and he will help you through it.
God Bless You!!

God is , "just simply mad!", about fine dining and the arts. This could not be accomplished by straight people alone.
If you could get the bible to explain Nascar that would be impressive.
Sometimes homosexuality is not a choice, for example: you look like John Bon Jovi you go to federal prison on drug charges and have a heavily muscled 6' 5" cellmate named Hank. Hank explains how pretty your lips are and you can have his pudding at dinner.

It's not a matter of being gay or not, it's a matter of whether you have teh buttsekcs or not. You can be gay and still lead a righteous life. Everyone has a variety of temptations and weaknesses to overcome, being gay is just another temptation. Don't focus so much on trying to turn yourself straight, lead a humble Christian life.
And if that doesn't work, there's always castration.

From NIV Study-Bible notes:
1:24,26,28 God gave them over. God allowed sin to run its course as an act of judgment.
God is a gentleman. He will not impose on people that which they do not want. If people choose to reject him then he will respect their decision. The counter-side of this is that those who choose to reject God open themselves to the consequences of ignoring him. An example could be the sexually promiscuous who put themselves at risk of sexually transmitted disease. God does not want them infected and so the Bible teachers fidelity; but if God's advice is ignored then he cannot be blamed later.
The overwhelming teaching of the Bible is against the homosexual life-style as it is counter-family. Those who accept Jesus receive the power to overcome temptation, difficult though that may be.

Remember, the bible is not full of "God's rules." The bible is full of rules created by men who were writing down laws for their fellow tribesmen to follow. And, to more easily impose those rules on others, they claimed them to be from God.
So, you're not reading God's list of rules. The only "rules" are the 10 commandments...and they don't mention anything about being gay.
Its only later that these other "rules" came about....as if God said.."wait, I wasn't finished." He's perfect...so of Course he would have put all the rules down with the 10 commandments.
The rest of the bible is nothing more than the equivalient of modern day fundamentalists who do whatever they want and then claim "its ok because God wants me to."
So, the only rules you'll be breaking are those of men...not of God.

The Bible contains an old testomony and a sparkling testomony. The OT changed into God's expectancies of his historic Hebrews. The NT is a sparkling covenant that supercedes and replaces the old one. So both aren't from now on continually precisely alike. you should stumble on techniques to maintain contexts.

Human Being's are O.K. till they are sent to the EARTH to be Born.
Then, through what Adam did and the Devil, they can get messed-up sexually.
LOOK UP " What-so-ever" in the BIBLE. These are People who get messed-up sexually, and don't really know what they are.
It take's JESUS to help them.
JESUS LOVE"s what-so-ever's and want's them in HEAVEN with HIM.
All it take's to make Heaven, is get your Spirit RECREATED (Born-Again), the only way to LOSE IT is to commit the UNPARDONABLE SIN, which is not regular old sin's like, stealing, lying, killing(murder), being gay, drunkeness etc.
Being gay and being a What-so-ever are two different thing's, but JESUS want's them all in Heaven. Hope this helps.

No, that verse means that God cant control someone who chooses to be gay.
I personally dont believe that homosexuality is a choice, but I can se where youre coming from on this. It does kinda say that God punishes te wicked this way, but it really says that those people made their own choices to do those things already.

He does not. But He does give them over to a reprobate mind. But why? Keep reading. Because of their disobedience. So the disobedience (being gay) has already happened BEFORE the hardening of the heart. So no, God does not make people gay.
