Atheism would have to be Jail, I'm sorry, I am an atheist, but just consider this as more a fun loving expiriment in the thought process of religious persons.

Let's just agree to be good atheists and put ourselves in "jail"

Christianity: Reading Railroad

(This train is bound for glory, this train....) ;o)

Nice concept. . ."atheism", however, is actually the freedom to travel around the board. . .with plenty of money. . .but, per the rules, no ability to buy properties and build homes or hotels. . .until. . .gulp. . .a "commitment" is made. . .but, because of a wonderful freedom to see and try literally everything. . .then a choice to pick the color group or specific property you find attractive!

(And if none are found or desired. . .ever. . .then the realization that each of us has a "choice". . .any time. . .and that parochial mentality "may" set in. . .out of pride and zealotry. . .that "my" property or color group is better than "yours"!)

Christianity? To my sense, the most expensive side of the board. . .for there is a high price to be paid for being a Christian in the world today. . .but this does not make Christianity better or preferred. . .as many of us well know, there are plenty of ways to win the game of Monopoly without controlling Boardwalk or Park Place!

Btw. . .UUA (Unitarian-Univeralists) and some other traditions, such as perhaps Bahai. . .are the Railroads. . .found on every side the Board. . .because they are truly "non-creedal" and readily embrace each of the major world religious traditions.

Ohh!! Agnostics get "Chance!" Love that big "?" on there!

Also, I would assess most of the properties actually having similar value in spite of traditional Monopoly construction.

Also, all of the "get out of jail for free" cards (thank you for the idea, Sassy) would ironically be placed in the "Chance!" decks. That would probably be balanced by having both of the "go to jail" cards too, though...

Also, science and technology would probably trump religion in some meaningful way, like saving lives at hospitals and such. Maybe the science and technology could be represented by the houses and hotels as levels of scientific and technological advancement, with those religions failing to build any being left in the dust so to speak...

Ok, I'm ready to play! As a personal favor, I would like the dog piece replaced by a cat. Thanks!

That would depend on who is designing the board. Personally I think mine should be park place or boardwalk, but it probably wouldn't even be on the board. Maybe in chance or community chest cards. I am a non-denominational 7th day sabbath christian.
I agree with Metacoma, metaphysics would be free parking tho.

Worshipping the Goddess Tyche would be drawing a Chance card.

Well, since I believe that God is an "not in a box" God, I am not sure if I could put him on a space. But he did give me a get out of hell free card!
be blessed

Eh, as an agnostic, I'd have to say one of the chance card spaces. Maybe reading railroad.

I think christianity would have to be the electric/water company. you pay and pay and don't really get much out of them. in the end when you need to talk to someone there for help and guidance, all you get is lip service and empty promises.

I would put atheism on free parking, because we are free of religious mythologies.
