I'm looking a manual or a book that let me know how i can personalize windows XP environment in all ways!!!

Well i can give you inlets to xp but you can use softwares like luna,aston,stardock,object dock.
i bet, you'll feel vista in xp.

You can personalize the look by going to thecontrol Panel and the display icon.
There, you can choose the wallpaper for the desktop, as well as select the look of your windows colors etc.
You can also personalize Windows by selecting which icons lay on the desktop, where they are, and even select new icons for shortcuts.

Thats not very smart, unless you are very skilled (which if you are asking this question you aren't). Editing those files could make you unable to use windows correctly. Leave windows the way it is or download themes from the internet.

you can also do this by downloading and applying themes.. there are lots of themes containing diff icons, wallpapers, and screensavers and lots..
